I have visited their sister gallery in Palm Desert so decided to visit the Carmel gallery. A great selection of incredible art on display. Friendly staff on the premises to help you and answer questions about the works of art. Very interesting how the sales person explained how some of the paintings were done. One of my favorite being a modern art piece of brlliant colors blended together, that was created by being inspired by his wife"s colorful garden. Some of the paintings actually looked more like a real photograph than a painting. Such amazing talent. I really love this gallery. read more

We visited this gallery today. We purchased a Kent Wallis painting there some years ago, and they still represent him. The people there are always friendly and knowledgeable, but not high pressure. It's a very worthwhile stop when you visit Carmel. read more

Visited this gallery during an evening art walk. This gallery is all contemporary artists, so it was fun to see what's happening in the art world right here and now. The art consultant was extremely nice, and very helpful. I knew she was there to sell us art, but she was gentile enough to let us have some space and enjoy the work. When we told her that, honestly, this artwork isn't really our style (although it IS beautiful, just not our style), she was kind enough to still answer our questions. We will definitely recommend this gallery to our friends who love still lifes and figurative art. I wouldn't hestitate to recommend people to this gallery. I'm not an avid art collector. But I do appreciate beautiful paintings. In this town, you can't toss a penny without hitting an art gallery. Well after walking block after block of galleries, a painting in the window of this gallery caught my eye and surprisingly my husband's eye. We walk into the gallery. The woman working there was phenomenally genuine. She was personable and engaging, so down to earth. We pointed out the painting that caught our attention and asked the artists name. We discussed the artist, subject, and his background. Without us asking, she was kind enough to take it off the front display and put it under an adjustable spotlight so we can view it better. It was a beautiful modern impressionist piece from Jeff Jamison called Reflections. However it was priced outside of our budget. Even telling her that, she didn't retreat or change her tone with us. Before we left, she gave us the gallery business card and the artist reception flyer. She encouraged us to visit again and check their website. Will do. 5+ star rating. read more

My husband and I always enjoyed perusing art galleries, especially when we traveled. We often found paintings we loved, but could never determine where they would fit in our home; so we never purchased any. After more than 40 yrs of marriage, that problem was solved when we met Patricia Terwilliger at her gallery in Carmel in 2012. She was personable and charming, as well as extremely knowledgeable, and offered to bring several paintings to our home in Newport Beach to help us determine which paintings we wanted to purchase. She drove down to Newport a month later, and her associate Rick Mullen drove a van out from their gallery in the desert filled with several dozen paintings which we had selected. They both have an amazing expertise in helping us choose moldings, frames, and where to hang each piece. Since then, we have had a close personal and business relationship that has been positive for both of us, and our home has been enhanced with beautiful art! Patricia and Rick have been in our home many times, and we have purchased new pieces each year. Last year, I called Patricia to help me surprise my husband with a gift for his birthday. She drove to Santa Barbara to personally take photos of his favorite beach, and then asked one of our favorite artists to paint the scene for him. Talk about personal service! Earlier this year when we purchased a 2nd home in Montecito, one of our first calls was to Patricia to have her assist in choosing the art for our new home. This time she drove the van herself, filled with 84 paintings we had selected, from Carmel to Montecito. And Rick arrived from the desert with several dozen more! They spent nearly 10 hours that day helping us select, then hang, our new pieces, and returned the next day to finish. Obviously, we highly recommend Patricia and everyone involved with her gallery. We were drawn to her engaging personality, strong work ethic, and her passion and enthusiasm for her work. She has made a huge difference in our home and our life.
