But who really give a hoot about the decor when the food on offer is to die for? The buttery tea cakes melted in my mouth, the cream cakes did likewise, and the coffee was strong and fresh but not bitter. Went here with 2 friends today. No menu just a poor selction of cakes. Opted for some freshly baked scones (only one each) which turned out to be heavy and so flat we couldn't cut them open. No jam was offered just a roll of butter and the staff seemed totally disinterested. Also ordered 3 cups of tea. Couldn't believe I was charged £21.50 for such a small and poor quality offering. They wont accept cards - just cash. I thought there must be a mistake with the price! We frequent high quality tea shops and live in Oxford now but I have never paid so much for so very little. Don't waste your money or your time. There are better tearooms closeby. Very disappointed....

I don't really respect this kind of attitude frankly, there is no love in it it's just about the money. The banana / nutella milkshakes are good I guess they can't cheat on those ingredients easily.
