I am in Wisconsin and I was looking for a florist in Ft Smith to make a Christmas arrangement for me to be delivered to my family. I emailed them two pictures I found on line and asked for a quote. A female employee called me and we chatted about the designs. One of the arrangements was a darling bouquet in a small, round vase with a candy cane ribbon, red carnations, red and white carnations, miniature white pom mums and candy canes throughout the bouquet. Now I know carnations are not the fanciest of flowers, but this particular candy cane bouquet was very cute, darling and perfect for the theme. The female employee said, with an obvious attitude, they could certainly make a much better bouquet than the one in the picture, indicating that my choice of flowers was sub-standard. The female employee also said they did not have any candy canes. I politely and with humor asked if it was possible to get candy canes as that was, after all, the point of the bouquet (suggested Walmart) and the next thing I knew this woman was informing me (again with attitude) that they DID NOT do that type of thing. I reminded her that I was in Wisconsin and could not bring them to her as she requested. The next thing I knew she highly insulted me calling me condescending because of my request and HUNG UP ON ME !!!!! I have for years and years delt with florists all over the country and I HAVE NEVER, EVER HAVE BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS. Everyone has always been very helpful, sent me photos of the flowers for my approval and shared with me they have been delighted to work with me. I am still reeling from her treatment and even though this review took time out of my very busy day, I want potential clients to be aware of the type of treatment they might receive if they take their business here. Very, very, veery disappointed in the $120.00 arrangement done for Dewey Attaway's service. Maybe a total of 12 flowers in the arrangement with 3 roses. I have used Johnstown's in the past but will never use them again and will not recommend you to anyone. read more

This flower shop is the worst flower shop I have ever done business with. I worked 70 days straight to come home to marry my fiancee so I ordered 2 bouquets for my small wedding. I ordered over the phone so they said that they would be about 100 a piece, I agreed, and they charged me 216. No worries. I arrive the morning of my wedding with my 4 year old and receive the prepaid flowers then get back in the car and strap my son in. I look over at the flowers and I'm furious. I unstrap him, grab the flowers, and march back in. Of course I have to keep the flowers because I need them and I had to order them over the phone because I was away for so long, but these bouquets were worth 50 to 60 dollars each. So I told the clerk and then the owner that they were bad people. What can we do to make you happy? Not cheat me? I told them that I wasn't trying to make them do the right thing, I just wanted them to know when they go to sleep at night that they are bad, bad people. I left and missed a call from the owner while I was strapping my son in. He left a voicemail saying that they were refunding me 20 dollars a bouquet. They did refund me 46 dollars. I would encourage flower shoppers to go anywhere else and let the free market do what it does to businesses who cheat good people. If you do go here, I would only buy from the inventory in stock to prevent being cheated. read more

During such stressful times as those with an ailing parent hundreds of miles away, Johnston's Flowers have been so reassuring, helping me not once but twice in the past few weeks. Living in another state, I had attempted to contact my father several times on his birthday - with no luck. I called Johnston's very late in the day, and explained that I needed my dad to know we were thinking of him. They had a lovely birthday token to his nursing home room before his dinner time. As recent as two days ago, they helped me through the process of choosing a Family Spray for his casket. The people here are authentic, kind, and so understanding. This place is amazing. They helped me get a bouquet to my mom literally last minute on her birthday! I'm in California and forgot about the time difference, and it was after 4pm over there when I called to see if they could deliver something to my mom. The woman who helped me (wish I remembered her name!) was so pleasant and helpful. They delivered within an hour; when all the other florists I had called said they couldn't help me, that it was too late in the day. I'm from out of state but ordered from Johnston's based on another local customer's recommendation. The bouquet was nice but was mostly filler flowers. I specifically requested Gerber daises be included and bouquet received had a single yellow daisy which made it overpriced in my opinion. My husband went in to get me flowers, and I think the arrangement he got me was beautiful for the price range he was going in, and they lasted nearly 3 weeks.
