My 3 kids love going to Taekwondo and since attending I have seen an increase in their self discipline and self-confidence. There are also leadership opportunities for students who excel and it is a fabulous resume booster for highschool students. Overall I am very happy with K.S. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Every time we come to class, Master Lee leads the class in learning the forms, so we are getting the very best instruction. It's an awesome workout; and while it's serious and the kids need to stay focused, the class is always fun and we leave feeling great! I assumed we could only attend class once or twice a week with our busy soccer schedule, but KS Lee offers at least two to three class times per day that work with our family's schedule so we are able to attend at least four times per week (including weekends). We are learning self-defense, getting a great workout and having a great time! We highly recommend Master Lee!!

Master Y Kim is an amazing instructor, capturing and keeping the kids attention with fun exercises and learning experiences. He knows every kid by name, seems to genuinely care about their progress and is great at recognizing where kids need extra help. Ms Petra is always there with a smile on her face to greet children and parents alike, and to make sure the kids have the best time. No matter how busy she is, she always makes time to ask how you are doing. The program at Master Chang's blends taekwondo instruction with character building skills and experiences. The staff and class helpers foster an atmosphere of positivity, support, and respect amongst the kids in a fun and engaging way. My child looks forward to every class he goes to, and this is the first activity where he hasn't complained once about going, or asking when it will be over.  We recently also had his birthday party there and it was super fun for all involved, including even the parents who got to participate in the taekwondo lesson, watch a performance from the talented demo team of students from this location, and hold boards while their children broke them with the skills they learned at the party. Parents let us know how much fun their children had and commented on how engaging Master Y Kim was specifically. I highly recommend anyone to try out taekwondo classes at Master Chang's and specifically this location.

However, upon trying to place my classes on hold, I was made aware of a "cancellation fee." This was the first I'd heard of such a thing, so I asked for clarification. I would have to pay 25% of a "12 month commitment." I was only cancelling because they had made a drastic change to the time of the class, and I had chosen this location specifically because of that time. When I explained this, I was told that this was "neither here nor their because" the gym "reserved the right to change any and all class times." I cannot imagine who in the world can commit to 12 months for a 4-year-old when the school can bait and switch you with times whenever they would like. Now, they are refusing to speak to me, but they continue to take my money and bill my credit card even though they claimed we could at least hold. They are forcing me into a position where my only recourse is a legal one. Looking into other reviews now, I see that I am not the only person who has had this experience, and I wish I had known that they are so unscrupulous in advance of attending. The classes are very expensive. They like to hide this informationYou should expect to pay at least $164 per month, plus a joining fee, plus a minimum of an extra $30 every other month for belt testing for a disorganized and overly loud 30ish minutes of class. Also, the space is very hot in the summer, so you should expect to shell out more money so your child can wear a t-shirt in class during the warm weather. They only allow Master Chang's branded t-shirts in class. The children are also not adequately distanced. The location is right beside a toy store that always has toys on display outside, so you know, enjoy saying "No, I'm not buying you a toy" every time you enter and exit.  I have much more I can say, but I have a small child to attend to. I don't know how I could possibly  take my child here after finding out they have such aggressive policies. I wish I had known this before signing up, and I feel terribly guilty for convincing others to join. I hate to write long reviews, but I feel now that I need to make up for getting a friend locked into this situation by sharing my personal experience.

I am an adult student, and I love Peck's TaeKwonDo!…read more I have wanted to engage in martial arts training since I was a kid but did not have the opportunity to begin until I was an adult. Even as a young adult, I had internalized the idea that martial arts is something that you could only begin as a child. It took me a long time to overcome that hurdle. My inability to find reviews from adult students who didn't practice with their kids for any TaeKwonDo school did little to convince me otherwise. About 6 months ago, I took my first class at Peck's at the age of 35, and it has been a wonderful experience since the beginning. There are many adult students of all levels. Many are parents to kids who are in the kids program, but I have never felt uncomfortable as an adult without kids. Afternoon adult classes are smaller and tend to have predominantly older students. Evening classes are for teens and adults, and there is more of a variety. There are frequent self-defense seminars that are open to the public. Mrs. Peck runs an amazing school, and all instructors are very knowledgeable and supportive. Students are respectful of one another and kind. It seems as though everyone is eager to help. I really could not recommend Peck's TaeKwonDo more. If you are an adult who is interested in martial arts, I really encourage you to take 20 seconds of courage and make an appointment to check out this school. You are not too old. You are not too out of shape. You can do it! If you are a parent with kids, the kids program seems really great as well, as other reviewers can attest, but don't forget to sign yourself up too! It's really pretty great.

Master Beddow, Mrs. Beddow and their team are incredible. They care about your child both in the class and out of it. Each cycle of classes centers around a key character area. As an example, this cycle's topic is Respect. Master Beddow and the team talk with the class about what it means to demonstrate respect. As a parent I can talk about respect till I'm blue in the face, but having another adult, or black belt instructor, teach them about respect can truly make a difference. Listening while the class is occurring provides me with the ability to reinforce what the instructors have shared so we're all teaching and saying the same things.
