The job included removing the cement, laying down a substrate, installing drainage, building a decorative wall, laying down the pavers, installing a walkway partially around the house, along with adding and relocating existing shrubs. Hard work. The crew worked long hours, and didn't complain if changes needed to be made. And, they took great care and pride in their work. If I could give zero stars, I would…read more Before hiring Lawn Doctor of Southern New Jersey, I specifically asked them to come out and assess my lawn because I wanted to be sure the treatment plan they quoted would address the extensive weeds I had. They came to my property, evaluated the lawn, and assured me the plan I purchased would eliminate all of my weeds. After three applications, not only did the weeds fail to die, but they actually got worse. In my past experience with lawn treatments, you typically start seeing weeds die within a week or two after an application. That never happened. Instead, the weed growth increased. After the third application, there was still no improvement, so I canceled the service. Because Lawn Doctor advertises a satisfaction guarantee, I contacted them requesting either a refund or that the ineffective treatments be reapplied. I even provided photos showing there had been no progress. Harold, their representative, refused both requests. He told me I would not receive a refund and that they would not provide any "free" applications--even though the treatments I paid for failed to produce any results and despite the guarantee they advertise. If a company is unwilling to stand behind its own guarantee when its service doesn't work, then that guarantee is meaningless. My experience with Lawn Doctor of Southern New Jersey was disappointing from start to finish. I wasted both time and money, and my lawn was left in worse condition than when I started.
