I have been here several times and I always have a great time. Id like to first start off by saying the staff has always been very friendly with me and my friends when we play golf here. The restroom is decent can be hit or miss sometimes with cleanliness, but typically pretty good. The golf carts are wiped down and cleaned after each use. Now onto the course. I am not super familiar with golf, but from the courses that I have played at this one is pretty good. The fairways are cut nice, obviously not as nice as some courses in the area, but good. The greens are usually nice as well. Overall the course is taken care of pretty well. Two of the negatives I would like to note is that there is a restroom located in the middle of the course. Nearly every time I have had to make a stop at this mid course restroom it has been pretty disgusting. Usually the toilet paper is strolled across the ground, soaking wet and just nasty. I typically try to avoid using the bathroom at the mid course restroom because its very nasty. Id definitely recommend keeping tabs on the bathroom if the owner ever reads this review. In addition to the bathroom, the cart paths are not really cart paths. The paths they do have are pretty rough and not well maintained. Id also recommend improving these in the future. Next is the price. I think the price is okay for the most part. I would rather spend the same amount at other courses with nicer greens and fairways personally. I would like to see the prices go down just a little bit on this course. However, this course is close to home and much cheaper than Stoney Creek (obviously). Hope to see you on the course!

One feature I liked was that visitors are allowed to go to a portion of the actual work floor and observe the many actions it takes to create these race cars. It has kids play area, for adults there is a big field for sports and courts for pickle ball and tennis. Across the street are short trails that run by a creek and goes about a mile. The trail goes straight with a few ways to branch off. There is a short bridge that goes over the creek and ends near the Silas Creek area. Along that trail is an open field and a small stand of bamboo trees to seek a little shade. The main trail ends at a busy road and there is another trail on the other side of this road. If you get tired there are a few benches scattered in different parts of the trail for resting, reading or enjoying the surroundings. The benches have plaques dedicated to family loved ones but my fave is the bench plaque that simply says "Pay it Forward"..... Food for thought while sitting there.

Well, I was absolutely tearing up this golf course last weekend so I did not get any photos, but…read morewhen you shoot 84 as a once every couple of months kind of golfer, you tend to forget about the world outside your next shot! Olde Homeplace is a place I've been teeing it up forever, but it had been probably a decade since my last visit. It's convenient, located with easy highway access right in the middle of the Triad, and is a good value. This is the kind of place where you can practice without a ton of big challenges, though there are a few holes where your accuracy or tee distance will be tested. The front 9 is pretty wide open, the back 9 a little tighter and with more water. The hazards for the most part are woods or long grass where if you hit way off target, you might have trouble finding your ball. Like I said, this is a value course, so expect some imperfections in maintenance, but the major one I would like to point out is the fact that the fringes of all the greens are nothing but short mowed crab grass. They're clearly a "fringe" but maintenance was let go a long time ago, and they not only look terrible, but make putting from off the green basically random chance. You'll either have to be an excellent chipper, or deal with this nonsense. If they would put some effort into remedying this problem, this course would get a 5 star rating from me for value! One other thing to note, they do not sell any alcohol at the course. I didn't see any signs barring personal coolers though, so feel free to BYOB! The grill has pretty decent food for a break between nines or an after round snack.

The main draw here are the two large lighted baseball fields (Darrell Rich Field & Wayne Thomas Field) that each include spectator seating and professional scoreboards.
