I was told this is a requirement even if you aren't sick. I was told it had been 1 year and 28 days since my last visit and they could no longer refill my BP medicine. I said the requirement to make an appointment even if I wasn't sick was a wrong. I come once a year for a physical and if make additional appointments only if I'm sick. The staff was uncaring. When asked what prescriptions I needed refilled, I told them. The staff didn't know what one of them was. When I told them the no generic name of one that reduces my pulse rate I was made fun of and talked about by the staff. They thought I couldn't hear them. Other places I get them in 2-4 days, a month is crazy. I was never belligerent or mean but I was persistent in geting results. They didn't like that. I was seriously considering cancelling my next appt in 3 months and they made it easy. They terminated me from the practice. He was making a copy of something for me when the phone rang. Keep in mind, it was one (1) copy of the physician's order for PT. The phone rang, he answered it and left me sitting there. He went to a computer around the corner and I waited. Finally, I gave up and left. First impression is everything for a new patient, client, customer, etc. Doesn't the manager realize you finish with your current client before you leave them to attend to a phone call? I left, went to another agency, scheduled an appointment (uninterrupted I might add) and cancelled my appointment with ATI. The ATI therapists may be outstanding but I will never know. I do know I won't give my business to anyone who doesn't have the common courtesy to finish helping me before attending to someone else.
