There are also basketball courts and picnic areas to spend a peaceful day outside. The park is located just a block from downtown Burlington's business district. Dogs must be leashed.

The visitor center sells the tickets, has a gift shop, and quite a thorough exhibit on William Penn and his decision to found a colony and the influences behind how he ran it, including his conversion to Quakerism. The house itself has tours regularly, and our tour group was pretty big. They have evidence of the foundation and recreated his summer house based on multiple sources, and the house has a different vibe than something from the colonial area around a hundred years later. You can see a simpler and English-inspired architecture with dark wooden interiors and focus on basic metal and wooden furnishings. The tour passes through the more public rooms, the bedrooms, and the kitchen where the tour finishes. The tour guide did seem to have a particular interest in herbs that were used medicinally at the time. The overall information was interesting to learn about Penn, his family, and life at the time. On site, they also had a few reenactor tradespeople, including a joiner, two weavers, and two blacksmiths. They were all very enthusiastic about answering questions on their crafts. There is also a garden to walk through and some livestock. Between the indoor and outdoor exhibits, it was a really thorough site with different things for everyone to enjoy.

You can see vegetable gardens, a barn, a wooden boat, a kitchen, and a guy squashing apples to make cider. (Kids love that). There is also a little workshop where a guy does woodworking. Another guy was carving a log into a canoe. There is a gift shoppe which sells pencils and stuffed animals, if you can't find one at the local discount mart in your neighborhood and have a paucity of these in your bedroom. There is also a tour of the mansion. It has no lights. It is not original but recreated to perhaps be like the original. There is also a outhouse adjacent to this structure, but people are prohibited from making deposits in it.

This playground park is very clean and I would recommend it to anyone. The only downside is Parking comes at a premium as the park does not have a parking lot and it is in a residential area. Additionally it's neighbor is a church the overflow of parking on Sunday from the church may make it difficult. Nice relaxing park and well-kept with entertainment I'll visit again and again.

The only issue I have found is that when it's crowded it's hard to find close parking space but over all I recommend this playground. This was remodeled about 4 years ago before that it was a mess.

There's so much cool stuff within the city limits that I've committed to trying to explore…read moresomething new (to me) every week. Recently that meant exploring the trolley trails in west Fairmount Park and finding the stone spiral arch bridge. In the early 1900s, a scene trolley took people through the woods. Nature has reclaimed the trolley paths, but in recent years they have been converted into miles of hiking trails. It's not crowded--I only saw 4 other people, mountain bikers, on my visit. It's a great place to explore. It's shaded so the walk was cool. It's pretty level so the hike is easy. And if you know where to go, you can find this beautiful bridge that looks like a brick spiral. The years have taken a toll, so I wonder how much longer we'll get to enjoy it. It's cool to think that in the past so much work was put into creating a beautiful structure that really just needed to serve a simple function. Don't have time for a long hike? You can get to the bridge quickly by entering the trail from Chamounix Mansion. Park by the equestrian building and head in. It's probably less than a 1/2 mile walk to the bridge.

It is an old bridge that leads to nowhere because it is no longer being used. It is surrounded by a forest, and kind of hard to find. The best way to find it is to stay at Chamounix Mansion, and follow the trail behind the trees. It's worth checking out if you like to post on Instagram, and finding hidden gems that are off the beaten path.

Atsion Village and Mansion is one of the best kept secrets in South Jersey. The mansion itself is…read morevery well preserved, and you can take tours of it on the weekend in the summer. Many people do not know about the furnace/iron industry in South Jersey that thrived in the early 19th Century, and you can come here to learn all about it. Our tour guide was 80 years old and lived in the area her whole life. She knew EVERYTHING about the history of Atsion, and we both loved listening to her talk. The park service officer who greeted us in the historic general store also filled us in about the history of the village. The cemetery and church are really cool, too. You can combine your visit with lying on the beach on the lake, too.

The park was clean and had a nice little view of a water stream under the bridge. It's a nice place to walk a dog, go for a jog, take pictures. It has several little areas to chill and hangout within the park.

A beautiful and serene waterfront park along the Delaware River…read more Plenty of parking space inside the park. Located in the Torresdale section of Northeast Philadelphia. There are trails and ponds to explore. Great for fishing as it was a 20th-century fish hatchery remnant. Across the river is Amico Island Park in NJ. Includes a bathroom, and playground, and hosts events for all ages throughout the year. When we were here: the park police ensured safety making sure we left before the rain/thunderstorm hit where the water levels rose.

The architectural details of the house were amazing It has an oval room on both the main floor and the second floor as well as the ground floor. The oval rooms are stacked one on top of the other. The doors in the rooms are curved. The fireplaces were made of King of Prussia marble. They were gorgeous. The Tour Guide had a lot of information about the house and the previous owners. The house has a few pieces of period furniture and portrait of one of the owners. The house is in a bit of disrepair but is currently undergoing work.

Lemon HIll is a perfect place to go when you get sick of Kelly Drive, and don't have the heart to…read morego for a long extended run. It's a stone's throw from Fairmount and Art Museum, and if you are in the mood to just hang out with your sweetheart, it's a great place for walking and relaxing. Much quieter and secluded from the bustle of Kelly Dr. If you get a chance, run up Lemon Hill, then keep going - if you can mapquest your course, there is a nice loop that will eventually take you back on the path to Kelly Dr., and all in all it's a nice little 5+ mile loop.
