Quite possibly the nastiest place I have ever been, bugs and gnats everywhere bathroom floor was flooded the entire place smells. Being stranded almost looks like a better option than coming here. Oh and the gas pumps leaked fuel on my car, they do that here. read more

It's consistently clean, and it boasts of its own traffic signal (OK, it does benefit from East Call Street from the other side. That likely had something to do with it). The Air/Vacuum service isn't consistently operational - but indigents are seldom found shaking down the patrons as they commonly were during the Circle K/McDonald's heyday across the street - so that's good. Anyway - if you find yourself low on the gasoline, and sputtering on Magnolia between Park and Mahan, well - just turn on in.

I'm compelled to review this largely because it is a Petro station, and so this is a shout-out to the quirky layout of ALL Petro stations in the GTA (Greater Tallahassee Area). quirky layout? - Oh... - I'm talking about the dual-sided gas pumps located in the PARKING LOT right up by the front door. I can't think of anything more decadent that that for a gas station - a feature that permits you to park up front - gas - and ponder what those poor saps at the run-of-the-mill pump islands 10 yards away are doing... For the ultimate experience, I enjoy the Petro on Orange myself - a gem of a station, and always on the way to & fro your flights.

Over the past thirty years, I've come to this station MAYBE two dozen times. Back in the day (late…read more80s/early 90s) there was even name brand gasoline flowing from the pumps. Today, we're working with a different sort of gas station - one that moves Marathon-brand gasoline and offers a broad spectrum of entry-level beverages, snacks, doodads, and sundries. There is a deli counter with trays under hot lamps - and the breakfast options looked ok. The clientele in the morning, from my recent visits at least, seems composed of the temporary residents of The Kearney Center. The front door serves as a milling-about point and the two dine-in tables seem frequently taken by long-term meal eaters. If you're running on fumes - by all means come on in and get gas. However, if you're able to push your car just a 1/2 mile or so, back to the gas station at Pensacola & White - you'd appreciate it.
