Over the past thirty years, I've come to this station MAYBE two dozen times. Back in the day (late 80s/early 90s) there was even name brand gasoline flowing from the pumps.
Today, we're working with a different sort of gas station - one that moves Marathon-brand gasoline and offers a broad spectrum of entry-level beverages, snacks, doodads, and sundries.
There is a deli counter with trays under hot lamps - and the breakfast options looked ok.
The clientele in the morning, from my recent visits at least, seems composed of the temporary residents of The Kearney Center. The front door serves as a milling-about point and the two dine-in tables seem frequently taken by long-term meal eaters.
If you're running on fumes - by all means come on in and get gas. However, if you're able to push your car just a 1/2 mile or so, back to the gas station at Pensacola & White - you'd appreciate it. read more
