I'm from California and was looking for a specific model of a guitar that this Guitar Center…read morelocation happened to have in stock. I sent a message through the GC website to this location to get some more information on the guitar since it was hard to tell exactly what the condition of the guitar was based on the photos. Their sales manager, Ben, emailed me back the same day and provided very detailed information about the condition of the guitar. He even included additional photos that were very clear and he indicated in the photos where there were any cosmetic imperfections on the guitar. Although I did not end up purchasing the guitar, I was extremely happy with Ben's customer service. He really went above and beyond. Based on my experience, I would definitely consider a used gear purchase from this Guitar Center location in the future.

I walked into Guitar Center with a LTD which I bought about 3 years ago. Right now it goes for…read morearound $1,700 give or take. I figured they'd offer me somewhere close to what it's worth now (Used it still sell for about $1,200). They tried to give me $500 for it. I wanted this $700 PRS so bad that I said screw it and swapped it (They took it for $700, woohoo) for the PRS. I knew I could've easily gotten over a grand for it if I wanted to wait a few months online if I waited a few months for someone to even offer me something for it), but the LTD was just too thick and didn't feel right in my hands. I brought the PRS home and it was perfect. Easily the best Guitar I've played in my life. That said, they were complete asses and ripoffs. I understand trying to get a lower price on what you're buying if you can, but they tried to give me almost a quarter of what it's worth used, in which they eventually got the better deal ONLY because I wanted this guitar so badly and didn't want to wait. I hated dealing with the staff, they were terrible and I was probably in there for 2 hours standing there with my guitar. They did have some decent pricing instrument wise though all things considered. I'll never think of selling them anything again, but I may go in for a new guitar if I have the money or a setup. Still, if I can get something from somewhere else like Sweetwater, I'm definitely going that route.
