On May 19th around 11:45 p.m. I visited this location. Where is the customer service? How do…read morethey screen & train applicants? The service I received was terrible. The counter was sticky with something. The cashier didn't want to bag my items. I had to ask for a bag, which she rudely tossed for me to do myself. She insisted the group behind me occupy the space I was using, while doing the job SHE should have been handling, hurrying me along in a hasty fashion. It seemed as though she wanted the rowdy group behind me to run me over, because she didn't have the patience for me to finish doing HER job. This location needs to do better. I will not spend the money I work hard for at establishments with poor customer service. Regardless of how busy it may be, all customers deserve to be treated with respect and patience. Every customer matters. If employees cannot handle a diverse retail environment, and treat everyone respectfully, then they should not be working there. There is a Marathon and Circle K less than a mile up the street, which provide excellent customer service. They also have plenty of food and drink options as well. I will be taking my business to those establishments in the future.

Every stall is gap-free with sturdy locks, and the entire space is immaculately clean every time we've stopped. The sinks have divider walls for better personal space (love this!), and there's even a kid-friendly sink with a built-in step stool--such a thoughtful touch. Plus, plenty of hand dryers and paper towel dispensers. This has become our routine stop every time we come through. It's just that good.

I will say that Marathon is not a big name in the truck stop/travel center game, but after stopping here recently, they are coming in hot! As mentioned above, this place has a lot to offer, a lot more than you expect when you pull in! The gas station itself features the normal snacks, drinks, slushees, candy, etc...that you expect, but they also offer a healthy dose of things you didn't know you needed or wanted like a massive souvenir section that is just as much home decor as it is roadside souvenir. Additionally, they offer a great coffee station that is extra large and has a lot of variety and options! They also have a chocolate counter that sells fresh bars and other sweet treats. In addition to the gas station stuff, there is a Burger King, Subway and Dunkin Donuts on site. I personally stopped and got lunch at the BK and then swung in DD for a to-go iced coffee! As for the exterior of the facility you will find a good amount of pumps, trucker pumps, a dog park and even a cool UGA Bulldog statue...remember though...no touching! Service was solid too. I purchased something from the souvenir register and she was friendly and nice. The cashier at the gas station side of things was also equally as friendly. Overall, this is a great addition to this exit! I do not frequent this area too much or go up and down 75 too often, but on the occasions that I do...I now have a solid stop on my route!

JP Travel Center in Jackson, Georgia is an easy five-star stop and honestly one of the more…read morememorable travel centers we've been to. Everything felt clean, organized, and well taken care of the moment we pulled in, which always makes a big difference when you're on the road. Inside, the store was stocked with everything you'd expect from a good travel stop, but what really stood out were the little extras that made it feel unique. The bathrooms were surprisingly nice and clean, and even had TVs, which was definitely unexpected and a cool touch that made the stop feel a bit more modern and comfortable. Outside, the giant bulldog statue in front is impossible to miss and adds a fun, local personality to the place. It's one of those things that makes you slow down and grab a photo because it just stands out in a way most travel centers don't. Go bulldogs! Overall, JP Travel Center is way above average for a road trip stop clean facilities, friendly atmosphere, and some fun surprises that make it memorable. Definitely a five star place to pull over in Jackson, Georgia.
