If I could give zero stars I would . Not enough parking, mentors are not communicative, you have to…read morecall or email them like 3 times for them to actually answer. They treat you with much attention when applying but once you start attending they do not care about you anymore. Thank God I comminuted because I cannot imagine leaving here, but I keep running into problems anyways because there is only 3 small parking lots in this place and if you are trying to make it to class on time forget about it because the parking lot right next to the buildings is always packed free 9:30. Then you have to park all the way in the back which sometimes fills up as well! Then you have to park at the furthest ONE which also fills up as well so where tf am I supposed to park? Yet they got like 4 tennis courts that can easily become more parking or just make a garage like hello?! I also heard someone in the dorms had their TV AND CLOTHES STOLEN while they were out of town because the locks on the dorm doors can literally be opened with a credit card. So what I have heard when students tell me they get locked out. Some but not all professors are not professional don't go to this school they curse and say the f word all the time. Security don't even pay attention who walks in and out this building fr, the school also look nice on the outside but the main hall is needs to be renevated period . I really don't care if you are trying to keep up with the 1900's look the floors are creaking, it's hot asf in there. Please don't come to its school the only parks is that they give you a lot of FA so if you can make a sacrifice to for that then be my guest.

The dressers is scratched up real bad.The closet door nearly opens. It just looks a mess!!!! It looks like a jail cell. The auditors need to come and inspect that place because the are charging way too much money to live on campus and those rooms are not up to date. Same ole stuff from when that university was built in 1929. It looks rediculous.I would not recommend to nobody. Rooms are horrible!!!! Even the meals are nasty!

Okay, so maybe the nerd density of this building reads off the charts, but it's a great place to…read morelive if you are part of a Cornell program in Washington. Although it may be without typical dorm room hjinks, the Wolpe Center provides Cornell students with a sense of community in Washington DC, where deeps bonds are fostered and intellectual evolution is cultivated. Sometimes when I think back to the room size, I can't believe I lived comfortably with a roommate. Don't get me wrong. As far as dorm rooms are concerned, they are pretty nice. Each room has a private full bath, small kitchen and bunked beds. There are also some common areas that residents can go to study with a plethora of cafes and restaurants nearby to seek additional refuge if need be. I always felt as though the building was fairly secure and everyone knows one another because you're part of the same, small program. Additionally, it can't get much better then rolling out of bed to head downstairs for a three hour lecture. I also remember that all of the staff, mentors and professors were truly engaged, approachable and down-to-earth, which was extremely helpful as we embarked on a major research project throughout the semester. Additionally, the Wolpe Center also doubles as the site of the Cornell Club of Washington. While I'm not terribly involved, I have volunteered in the past with CAAN (Cornell Alumni Admission Network) to help meet and interview local candidate that are currently going through the application process. I remember when I was applying, it was really nice to meet with a local person to get a sense of their experiences. Overall, the Cornell Center and community in Washington DC is extremely warm and professional. If you're ever searching for Cornell resources in Washington, this would be the place to go.

The rooms are very clean and didn't set off my allergies, which is a major plus for me. The neighborhood is really nice, plenty of restaurants and cafes around--I'd recommend checking out the reviews online beforehand to avoid disappointment. Definitely a nice/safe business area of D.C. The triples in this place are nice as well. I only saw one but it had a pretty big living room and bigger kitchen with a full sized oven. Only down-side is that three beds (a bunk bed and a single bed) are squeezed into a fairly small room. Looks somewhat uncomfortable. The studios also have regular twin bunk beds( I believe you can request an extra long twin if you need it), which are all detachable if you don't want to climb up to the top bunk. Overall the rooms are pretty spacious and nice. Very happy with my experience at the center. I'd definitely recommend the Cornell in Washington Program!

I tend to bump into major or small town college campuses on my travels. On this trip it was George…read moreWashington University in Washington DC. I had time with my DC friend to kill before another friend from Canada had agreed to meet me in Washington DC and continue my trip into Delaware. And so, we (DC and I) opted to spend an hour walking off breakfast at George Washington University campus while playing Pokémon Go. It's a nice experience, looking at the interesting architecture of the campus buildings and how it works with the surrounding community at large. There was a few people walking around bundled up as was I, as it was around 40s F that morning. Didn't feel that cold but it is what it is. There's many buildings on the main campus of George Washington University and the thought of studying here seems farfetched, but with money and time an of course a thirst for knowledge, anything is possible. My friend and I walked to a bunch of buildings while admiring anything and everything that is college life. Remembering my days as a college student brought back memories. The enjoyable factor really is the memories that I made through my college years and being here on the campus of George Washington University helps with that. My friend and I walked up to the various buildings for the arts and business. A lot of college buildings are general purpose for professor offices, class rooms, and lecture halls. We ended up going inside a few buildings since it was on a Friday and classes were in session at the time. It was weird and nostalgic at the same time. Thankful for various water stations inside the buildings to help stay hydrated. The overall experience here at the George Washington University was nice and relaxing. It took away my cares and concerns for a hot minute, knowing what I was going to do in Delaware the next morning. The simple pleasures of walking around a college campus is awesome and inspiring. Future leaders are made here and hopefully the future generations can be proud to have studied here and anywhere higher learning knowledge can be acquired. The campus is well maintained and definitely felt at home here even though I don't live here in Washington DC. I figured that tuition can get pretty crazy here but with hard work and some scholarships, many students can graduate with success. While I was roaming in the halls, the various things associated with college life made me smile. The countless hours studying and not really having a social life and living on cheap college type food unknowingly helped me balloon to 300 lbs. oh yeah, fun times. It was cool to see classes in action again, especially with Covid putting a damper on things. George Washington University is a top notch collegiate institution that welcomes everyone who meets their stringent academic requirements for entry. For myself though, walking around the campus to kill time and to enjoy the beauty of the campus helped me think of the more simpler times of my life back in the days I was in college. That hour walk was special and enjoyed everything about the George Washington University campus. If you are passing thru or thinking of going to school here, consider walking around the campus to get a real feel vibe for it. The campus is beautiful and recommend coming during the fall months and not like me during the dead of winter. George Washington University is located at 2121 Eye Stret NW in Washington DC. It's blocks away from the White House. As with many major universities, they do offer practically everything in terms of helping their students succeed, including the financial aid. The tuition needed to come here can be a significant burden on monthly personal finances, but once graduation is in reach, many would say it has been worth the journey. The campus has generous parking areas, many of which are attached to the buildings themselves. Commuting here usually isn't a problem for most people, since the city of DC offers metro rail, as well as local bus service to shuttle the citizenry around every day. Choose the right routes that are good for you to get here to the George Washington University campus. I felt safe here and, while it was winter time in January, I thought I would see snow here. That wasn't the case. The ambiance of the campus was breathtaking and hope to be back. The campus is beautiful and can definitely recommend anyone and everyone to take a walk around the campus. Whether you're a prospective student, alumni, a tourist, or just one who enjoys walking thru beautiful places. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+

What an amazing & diverse campus…read more Not only as a parent, yet as a visitor/tourist, does this campus offer so much history, enjoyable experiences & a beautiful scenery. Commonly known as 'BU or Boston U', it's main campus is part of 2 urban campuses collectively. BU is positioned along the Charles River, overlapping in the Fenway, Kenmore & Allston communities. After Ubering to breakfast, I decided to walk back to my WomanBaby's dorm. I found myself on the populated Charles River Bike Path & got to see Harvard & MIT along the way. It's a 23 mile paved stretch with the bridges serving as mileage trackers. A few tidbits; Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. & Andy Cohen attended BU, one of Boston's largest employers, has their own Medical Campus located in Boston's South End neighborhood, shout out to DC-BU has internship, journalism and management programs housed on Massachusetts Avenue in Dupont Circle, Men's Hockey is very popular as 5-Time National Champs & how fitting that BU's mascot is a Terrier, amusing. I wanted to take a peak to where my WomanBaby would be getting schooled this Fall in Public Health. The Talbot Building looks like a medieval mini mansion with a perfectly manicured landscape that is located on BU's Medical Campus. There is so much that BU offers, not only as a top ranked educational institution, yet an amazing social melting pot for their students. Footsteps from the educational & housing buildings offers a mass of diverse exposure & encounters connected with the historic New England charm. The never ending of restaurants, arts & entertainment, sports, shopping both upscale/outlet malls, trolley/subway rides & the extensive nightlight...simply casually exhilarating. I look forward to my many returns to BU & it's city.
