I was having problems with my computer shutting off randomly, so I decided to bring it in to…read moreConnecting Point to have it checked out. The people were friendly, and they let me know in advance that it may take a while for them to get to my computer because they were backed up with other customers. They also made sure to let me know that I may be charged if they had to do anything to the computer. They never gave me a concrete amount that they would charge, but I was fine with all of these things as long as they could help me with my computer. A week and a half later, they called me, essentially saying that they couldn't find anything wrong with my computer after testing it for a while. I was relieved to hear that maybe my computer was magically working up to par again, and gladly paid the $40 charge, thinking that there shouldn't be any problems. Unfortunately, my computer hadn't changed a single bit and I experienced all of the issues that brought me to Connecting Point in the first place, and now I was out $40. Without anywhere else to turn, I decided to take matters into my own hands and look inside my computer. After about 15 minutes of looking at wire connections, I noticed that one of the connecting cables to the motherboard was not properly connected. I snapped it in, and my computer hasn't had an issue since then. They had my computer for a week and a half, and couldn't find a simple connection issue, and then charged me $40 for running a few tests. I feel scammed.

My shorts, too large for my apparently shrunken hips (must be the active lifestyle, hey now!), requires my hands to hold them up if I run for more than a few seconds. Of course I failed to do that on the fateful day of hopping across the street and my cell phone flops out and lands with a dreadful crack on the hard pavement. After retrieving it, the lcd screen is shot and weird multi-colored lines appear on the screen. I desperately tried to swipe and type this way and that, all to no avail. My life as I knew it ended right then and there. The phone goes from barely functional to completely bonkers in alternating phases. I had no idea how much I depended on the damn thing. It was like losing my superpower (sad that my superpower is an old iPhone ain't it? Makes me question my purpose in life) but I was completely helpless. I couldn't drive (no GPS), I couldn't find restaurants, I couldn't call or send texts, I couldn't listen to music. I was so sad! :( Until John appeared in my life. Armed with tiny screwdrivers out of a magical blue box, he had my phone up and running in less than 10 minutes. Not all heroes wear capes.
