Choice of hot pots in the summer including chicken & mushroom, beef & ale, lamb curry, etc. Lovely choices of biscuits, muffins, quiches, cakes and tea/coffee. I also had the roasted veggie salad while my husband had fish & chips. The salad was very colorful and filling. Fish wasn't battered as expected but very light and panfried perfectly. Prices are a little high for a cafe setting for this NY'er but the quality is quite impressive so I don't regret the meal. (Two entrees, mussel chowder and one drink = 60 NZD) but not tipping helps. The service is also a bit slow for me but again that just might be bc we are from NYC. It did come with tons of smiles though. :)

Indeed, they were excellent with a unique tomato relish that complemented the flavor profile nicely. Typically, any time a restaurant messes with the traditional Benedict recipe, it's for the worse. But this was a rare win in these rarefied waters. I also tried a chocolate cake that was a bit dry and not worth the calories. They made my dry cappuccino exactly as I asked though the espresso beans were a little more bitter than I typically care for. The juices came from a bottle but were OK. Overall, it was a good experience with a friendly staff, nice view of the ocean and fast service. Definitely worth a stop if you're a Benny fan.

I had my burger with the "spicy peanut sauce". My FIL and I both agreed our burgers were pretty much tasteless, though the buns were excellent. The Peanut Sauce had almost no taste and certainly no spice. The pattie was tender but had no real taste I could detect. My Sons eggs were overdone, which I am guessing was a result of them forgetting about them in the first instance, which they were very apologetic about and promptly brought my son over a chocolate brownie by way of apology which was an excellent touch!
