We'd eaten at their other location in Oaxaca and needed a bite to eat after we landed and checked in at our hotel. We arrived around 9pm on a Wednesday, and it was lively and a little busy, but we were able to be seated directly. I ordered a Mexican rosé wine, and my husband had a couple of cocktails. We enjoyed all the drinks we ordered. The food I was a little less happy with. My husband got the enmoladas de pato (heirloom corn cortillas stuffed with confit duck and covered in black mole on one and green mole on the other, with aged cheese and pickled onions. The dish was pretty good, easily the best of the night. I had the Ceviche Verde (fish cured in salt and marinated in citrus juice, oregaon, and herb pesto) and the Tostada de huitlacoche (a tostada with huitlacoche confited in olive oil and herbs and creamed avocado). The ceviche was fine (cutting it in smaller pieces might have led to it being a bit more tender and easy to eat), but I didn't enjoy the tostada. Rather than being a tostada with huitacoche on top of it (as the menu and my instincts suggested), it was about two cups of huitlacoche in a bowl with a tostata laid over the top. The portion of huitlacoche was kind of crazy (way too much for the single tostada it was served with), and I thought it needed more done to it? It tasted like huitlacoche straight out of the can (I'm sure it wasn't, but it needed some additional flavor and spice). The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The service was very good, and the restaurant is stunning. Like the Oaxaca location, Los Danzantes in Coyoacán is in a beautiful building, with stunning character and design. It wasn't the best meal I've had in Mexico City, but it was beautiful and the service was great. I'd definitely return for drinks and its great ambiance and service.

Casual and nice setting. They quickly seated our party of 8 and provided good service. They offer WiFi so that was also nice. One other thoughtful amenity was that they had an electrical outlets on both sides of each table so we could charge our phones. Very much appreciated that since many of us were running low on battery. The salad was delicious but the pizza...OMG it sooo good!! We ordered the Pinky Warrior which stole the show so we ended ordering it again. The other pizza was also delicious...but the Pinky Warrior was exceptional. The dough was fantastic and complimented the toppings very well. Word of advice though, ask for the Serrano Chiles on the side as they are super spicy...and I mean really spicy!! I was then angry...because clearly the drink could have been cancelled the entire time. My guess is that this has happened before and that this restaurant takes advantage of gringas like me who this happens to to make a quick buck. It's slimey and I recommend you stay away from businesses which operate this way. I paid and left the drink. What a waste. I also explained on leaving how upset I was about what had happened yet no one offered to make it right.

For breakfast they had alot of options and I went for the French toast and got a side of scrambled eggs. I love that the breakfast comes with juice and you can also order your own. I got a green juice too and a flat white. The service was good and they help you out even if you do not know much Spanish. It's a great spot to sit and have a slow morning on the weekend.

They came back over-cooked and hard. Every time, the waiter would drop food and practically run away without checking to make sure what he was serving was edible. I had to get up and look for him and ask him to come over to my table. There are sooo many great places to eat in Mexico City. I would not waste my money here. They seemed overly confident and disinterested in providing good service.
