There are several TVs and a vending machine in case you want to stay entertained and grab a snack while you wait for your clothes to dry. They are typically busy but I've never had to wait for a machine. Some machines use coins while others (that I use) allow for a credit card swipe. They have detergent, softener sheets, etc for sale as well as a couple of drink & snack food vending machines. The bathrooms are always clean. Both the employees and the customers have always been friendly. With the storefront being on a plaza corner there's always plenty of parking.

Up until today, I have always had a great experience, including when the owner, Curtis Lyons, or the regular attendants are on duty. Today at 1:00 PM, however, was hands-down the most unprofessional and alarming experience I have ever had at a business. There was a new female attendant working the floor, and her behavior was completely out of line from the moment we walked in: Physical Conduct: A child was putting clothes into a machine, and the attendant physically grabbed the young child by her shirt and pulled her out. Having rules about children is understandable, but putting your hands on someone else's child is entirely unacceptable and a safety violation. Harassment and Rushing Customers: She continuously hovered over paying customers while they were trying to wash and fold. She attempted to close my machine while I was actively transferring clothes, swept dust directly around people's feet, and stood right next to us with her hands on her hips, staring us down to rush us out so she could access our dryer--seven hours before closing time while the building was full of patrons. Hostility toward Customers: When we were leaving, she was overheard calling customers "rude." When asked about it, she confronted us with an attitude, arguing back and forth in front of the entire store.

There was an attendant on site in case of problems, and she told me you can drop your laundry off and they will do it for you for a feel. They have several different sizes of machines for loads of any size. There is a change machine on site. There was a tv and a few tables, but it's probably beat to bring a book or tablet to keep yourself occupied.

I was extremely pleased with the conditions in Fairfield Coin Laundry. I could not find any complaints with the facilities. It was apparent they take care to keep it clean and in repair. Granted my visit was spoiled when I discovered the city had turned the water off because of road work nearby. The owner showed up to rectify my inconvenience. After visiting two other closer laundromats, I end up at this businessman's other facility next to the old library in 5 Pts West. It too was in great condition and well run. There wasn't any issues with the machines, equipment or guests. (No rude customers spoiling the noise is important). I hope to have replacement equipment in my home soon, but should I ever need the use of a laundry, I would not hesitate going to with facilities again. The owner was mice enough to help me pack my car without being asked.
