Pretty cool watching old movies at a place where the King used to go. And it's very affordable, including the snacks and drinks. I'd much rather go here than a chain movie theater. I wish I'd known about it sooner, I would have gone there all the time. It's the kind of place you can enjoy with your (well-behaved) kids, parents and grandparents. They also have various live events here, so check the calendar. The seats are extremely uncomfortable, so bring a small cushion if you have back problems or can't sit for long.

They get top notch acts from Las Vegas and the shows are the least expensive I have ever been to, yet some of the best. They also showcase Disney musicals for short runs. I highly recommend checking out Springstead Theatre if you enjoy live performances. It was super fun. The schedule is on their website.

Take a night off from going downtown and see some more Gainesville culture.
