Wow--this is a quick review to match the quickness of the service…read more I stopped by Breads of Fairlawn this morning, just two days before Christmas. Parking was easy, and the door was wide open when I arrived around 9:00 a.m. The line wasn't too long, which was impressive given the timing. As I waited, I noticed one of the many signs stating cash or check only--uh oh. I rummaged through my purse and managed to come up with $8.00. Whew! Just enough for what I was hoping for: a loaf of sourdough. I love sourdough. Mine was a complete failure back when everyone else mastered it during the COVID era. Since my husband is gluten-free, bread has mostly disappeared from our home, and when I do buy it, I usually choose small half-loaves for the freezer. But with Christmas here, I decided to treat myself to a full, good-tasting loaf--and I found exactly that. The sourdough loaf was $7.00, and they offered to slice it at no extra charge. I was also offered samples (which I happily accepted). I tried the Parmesan-crusted onion bread and immediately understood the hype. The crust was chewy, the cheese flavorful, and there was a subtle onion finish--perfect for snacking on the way home without dipping into my new loaf. Once home, I tried the sourdough. The end piece is always my favorite test bite, and it did not disappoint. The shop itself is cozy but efficient, easy to get in and out of, and conveniently located near Route 18. The aroma of fresh bread was divine, and the staff was fun, friendly, and incredibly helpful--even with the steady flow of customers picking up holiday goodies. I also learned they accept Venmo and Zelle, which is great to know for next time. They even offered me a calendar of their daily bread specials, and I noticed that sourdough is one of their regular daily offerings--very good to know. I'm really looking forward to going back.

This place was so so cute!!!! We came here for a girls night and it was the perfect place!…read more We got the fun holiday cocktails (sugar cookie one was so good) We got the bruschetta & marinated feta as appetizers... both so yummy and came out fast! We then decided to split a pizza (sausage and banana peppers) and it was the perfect thing to get us full!! It was like a hidden gem for our girls night! We definitely recommend!! We can't wait to come back!!!

I had the spritz, which was good, but took over 30 minutes to receive even though we asked about it multiple times and everyone else at our table had received their drinks. My husband had an old fashioned which turned out to be only 5oz. The glass was not even half full. We all thought this had to be a mistake considering the cost and how poorly presented the drink was but the manager assured us that they measure properly. I think they should include this on the description because for $13, we were not expecting such a small drink. Our friends were not impressed with any of the drinks they ordered, either. My friend specifically ordered a double vodka shot in a short glass but received it in a tall glass, therefore watering down the drink. As for food, we shared the marinated feta appetizer and the charcuterie board. Both were good but the charcuterie only had one serving of meat (salami) and the rest were olives, peppers, cheese and grapes. For $19, we were expecting a little more. One of the cheeses, the largest portion, was a very spicy pepper cheese that none of us really enjoyed. The dip was very good - no complaints. We also ordered three pizzas. Our friend got the chicken pesto which he said was ok but nothing great. My husband got the short rib which he enjoyed. I did a make your own, which had literally no flavor at all. The crust was good but that was about it. I suppose that's my fault for picking the toppings but I thought it would taste better than it was. As for service - it was very slow and they were very inattentive. I wouldn't come back here or recommend it. I think as a restaurant that advertises for its drinks and pizza, both were lacking.

Got a deal on Fox8 for some gift certificates so we took my mom here…read more First time we went there was a dining room so we thought we were going to eat in. Nope! No longer a dining room but with good reason. They're so busy they needed to expand the kitchen. They did make a bar area for you to sit at while you wait which is exactly what we did. Had a nice conversation with the owner while he made our pizzas and we waited for them to bake. Order 3 large specialty pizzas, 3 slices of the peanut butter pie and a special seasonal cinnamon roll to take home. I've got to admit I was a bit worried about how the quality would be effected after the 40 minute ride home but I'm happy to report everything still tasted delicious and if I'm being honest it probably saved me from burning the roof of my mouth. As you can see we dug right in before I even remembered to take a pic. Too good to wait. The peanut butter pie is out of this world. It's something you need to try. First time trying the Peppers and Cream Pizza. Loved it. Be prepared for heat when you hit the jalapenos. Still so good though. The MVP may be our favorite. It's simply a classic. The BBQ was good too. There hasn't been a pizza or menu item yet I wouldn't order again. Stop in and get you some!

Ok, I've been wanting to come here for pizza for awhile. Good reviews so I was super excited to…read morejust hop in the car and go on Sunday. You can eat in. There is a little dining area to eat. Which is fine. I did not want to drive all l that way and take it home cold. We got the Greek salad and the MVP added olives. The salad was good. No Greek dressing. Just Italian or ranch and we got Italian, it was ok. Pizza came out and we were super excited to try. The first bite was soft. Their dough is soft and fluffy which I kinda liked but this tasted like it needed to be cooked more in the middle to support the toppings and get some crunch on the dough. It wasn't bad the dough was just soft. Then I noticed the burnt ring around the crust edge. Like they tried to cook in the middle but the bottom started to burn so they had to take it out. More examination of the bottom we saw a distinct burn. Bummer. I really wanted to like this place a lot. Prices are a bit high because they make a lot a specialty pizza. If you order a 1 or 2 topping pizza it will be average. They don't skimp on the toppings which is nice. But I think they need to regulate that oven. The deck is hot but the rest of the pizza needs to cook too. As mentioned the dough is fluffy. Which was fine. Just need it not to be burnt and cook the top. Service was good. The girl and guy in the shop were super nice and helpful. No complaints they were trying hard to please. The pizza was just not up to the hype. Eating this for left over lunch tomorrow so we will see how it holds up.
