Madalyn texted the night before and asked if I could change my appointment for two days later. I said sure and she said she would see me then. Fast forward two days and I showed up for appointment at Madalyn's specified day and time. The receptionist informed me my appointment was the day before and I had missed it. I showed her the text exchange I had with Madalyn stating my rescheduled appointment. She apologized and told me Madalyn wasn't working and I'd have to reschedule. I was very disappointed and will be looking for a different salon.

I will be commenting on Denise Fugate. Denise was recommended to me by a friend when I was looking for someone nearby that is not outrageously priced. I have always left this salon feeling like a million bucks, but it doesn't cost anywhere near that. Recently, I had to cut some luxaries from the budget and went to someone else to get my hair done. BIG MISTAKE. It may only cost $10 for a haircut elsewhere, but it LOOKS like it! Denise fixed me up, good as new. The salon is clean and modern looking as they recently renovated. Everyone is friendly and up to date on the latest styles. I have had color, highlights, low lights, long hair cuts, short hair cuts, eyebrow waxing etc done.

I came to Denise after many years with the same stylist with whom I had a disagreement . I showed Denise pics and explained the cut I was looking for. I would say I had the most thorough consultation ever regarding the condition of my hair, the kind of cut I wanted, and a ton of styling and hair care tips to get the results I was looking for. The cut was great, I tweaked the style a bit, which I am sure to communicate to her next time. The place is clean, quiet, and totally professional. No yakety-yak among stylists about their boyfriends and where they were drinking the night before, ignoring the client. The attention is totally devoted to the client. Pricey, but well worth it. In haircutting industry you definitely get what you pay for it! I will be back as a regular customer

Ohh so sad! So, resigned to my fate I set out to find a new stylist. Before I found Sarah I felt I was just going to try ONE more time, then when it didn't work out (like everyone else) I'd go back to my natural color. I've searched for **years** for the stylist who could do what I was hoping for, found her once, and figured lightning wouldn't strike twice if you know what I mean. Boy was I wrong!! When I booked with Sarah I hoped for the best, but planned for the worst because it seemed no matter who I went to, I walked out looking the same. My roots were always way too harsh and dark compared to the blonde. Others didn't blend them the way I hoped for. Choppy. Streaky. The contrast between my base and my light tones was...awful. Made me hate balayage! Until Sarah showed me something completely new to me and rocked my world! She actually blew my mind! The way she blends, let's just say she made me love my natural color as a base in balayage! She made it look amazing! How did she do that without changing my base color?? Mind blowing! Sarah, my Gosh woman. I LOVE YOU!!!!! I really don't want to post this review because then maybe you'll be famous (not that you don't deserve that! You DO!) and too busy to work on little ole me, but again, my goodness girlfriend, WOW!! Talent doesn't even begin to describe it! ***Sarah Huey is a prodigy, an anomaly, an alchemist. Magic. And her services are not outrageously priced?! Am I dreaming?*** My hair says "Yeah girl, you're dreaming. Your hair couldn't possibly look this fabulous in real life!" But my husband swears he paid for it haha. So I guess it really did happen, and I am SO fortunate to be walking around a living breathing example of what passion can do when it mingles with the heart of a hungry lion and the joy of an angel at the same time! If you go see Sarah, you'd better be good to her! Trust me, you'll never meet anyone like her again for as long as you live. My stylist, the unicorn. Thank you for making every day amazing for me, Sarah! I love waking up each day filled with the same level of enthusiasm and joy for your work that I felt the first moment I saw it! YOU are amazing. The second time, I was kept waiting for over 20 minutes while she apparently double booked or worked someone in. Then I was left to sit with color on my hair for 30 minutes too long again, waiting for her to work someone else in. I realize that working customers simultaneously isn't unusual but this was way past what was safe for hair to process. The last and final time I thought I would give it one more try. Same thing, except this was even worse. She didn't ask me about the color or preferred shade for my roots and was talking so much that I didn't realize she had put a very warm, reddish, brassy brown on my roots. (My natural hair color is a cool dark brown). The results are now that my hair is over processed and my otherwise healthy hair is like straw!!
