Considering we live over an hour away, we appreciated Angela's thoroughness in having everything ready to be reviewed and signed. John is an amazing attorney!…read more Key points: - Ethical/moral - Compassion for clients and passion for his work - Fantastic communication skills and willingness to listen - Knowledge of the law, and thorough - Individualized approach - Perseverance Background: Covid hit the world suddenly with a significant and devastating impact. This was not just an overall public health issue, but also a heavy blow to the global economic structure. This directly led to many, whom previously lived paycheck to paycheck as it was, in a difficult and precarious financial situation. Eventually this took me to the overwhelming point of no return. I had fallen into a financial pit with no way out on my own. John was recommended to me by someone. She had amazing things to say about him and his practice, so I decided to reach out to him. Ethical and moral: John is a genuine and honest individual who truly wants what is best for his clients. He is kind, empathetic, and most importantly he is honest and ethical. From the very beginning he made sure that my best interests were put first, and that I fully understood his role in the situation and process. Compassion: This goes along with his ethical nature and practice. All I want to add is how he was able to empathize with my situation, and truly place himself in my shoes. At one point, while discussing my assets, I told him I had a guitar, but hadn't played in years. He pulled out a new pack of guitar strings and handed them to me. He told me I should play again. When you're at the end of your rope, sometimes it's the smallest things that can have the biggest impact. Communication: John was great at Communication. He always answered my questions, and made sure I fully understood. He was timely and very responsive to all of emails, calls, and texts. Knowledge: It was clear from the first time I spoke with him in his office that he was very knowledgeable and experienced in what he does. He was great at walking me through every step along the way and ensuring that every detail was covered. He was incredibly thorough the entire time. At one point I presented a uniqueness to my case with a circumstance he had never encountered. He immediately did some research was able to iron everything before I even left his office. Individualized approach: Seemingly small, but I felt is important to mention is how he sees each person as their own individual situation. I can see how it would be easy to treat each case with cookie-cutter methods, and only see the case, not the person behind it. John was there to help me as an individual person, and didn't just treat me like an anonymous case on his list. Perseverance: John was with me till the end. He always updated me, and made sure I knew what was going on during the entire process. He was diligent, and made sure that everything was completed until the very end, to ensure the best possible outcome for me. Final thoughts: I cant say enough great things about John and his abilities. He took a stressful situation of mine, and facilitated the opportunity for me to wipe the financial slate clean. In all functionality, John helped me begin a new life for the better.
