wish there were a minus rating option for this company. our tailgate lock has failed and we went in…read moreon 21december. they ordered a new part. we weee told to come back 24 December as part was expressed from Melbourne. went down and part hadn't arrived. no one even bothered to advise us! then we were told to go back in after Christmas. we tried to contact for 2 days and no one returns our call. drove down again and still no part. told to come back 2nd January (which we told them we were leaving for holidays that day). went down and yet again no part. spoke with a Manager. we were told that Toll had picked it up but can't find it. then the most stupid excuse supposedly from Toll was that it was lost because of the floods. thing is the part was coming from Melbourne to Brisbane so more than 1000 kms away. we were told they would chase it up and let us know. we rang 2 days ago and asked manager to phone us to get an update! still waiting!!! each time we've runs fit days and got nothing and had to drive down to see them to actually get a response. meanwhile we're driving around in a car we can't lock, with the interior lights always on and a warning diagram on the instrument panel saying tailgate is open!!! Springwood would have to be the worst company we have ever dealt with and you could never claim they have customer service. they are pathetic!!!!

Had a nightmare experience a while back with the service department. Took my car in to investigate…read morea whistling noise from the engine area. Got a call a bit later saying it was the clutch, I authorised them to do the work so they removed and replaced the clutch, and I got the car back a day or two later with a $2000-odd bill. Drove off to find I could still hear the noise! They were now shut, so I went home and within a few minutes found a loose bolt on the exhaust manifold and tightened it up. Noise gone. The next day, I went in to talk to them. The mechanic told me there was a definite problem with the clutch "we put it up on the hoist and could hear a noise with it". I asked if they actually took it for a drive to hear the noise I had described so they could diagnose the problem. "No, we don't have time to do that, we wouldn't get all the work done in here". Service manager absolutely refused to issue a refund or offer any other compensation. Costly, horrible experience.
