I have been going to Crystal Lake Dental Associates since 2021 as a patient of Dr Rosalyn Vesquez…read more I was born and raised in Malaysia, where I fear going to the dentist. Doctor Rosalyn and her team took me in as her personal project. She continued to encourage good oral hygiene, and I never felt once that I was being judged for my lack of dental care. I here come after four years, six crowns, six fillings, and four wisdom tooth extractions. I can say I am qualified for a fair review for Crystal Lake Dental Associated. Every time I visit the dentist, I always feel at home. Becky, with her sparkling pink standley mug, greeted me with a big smile when I first walked into the dentist. Crystal, the manager, has helped me several times in answering questions regarding my out-of-pocket cost and assisted me in putting together an estimate of cost for FSA purposes every end of the year. Needless to say, they are the backbone of making a great customer experience for me. Secondly, I have to take some time to highlight the harmonic when the doctor works with the dentist's assistance. I have had the opportunity to be cared for by dentist assistants Barb and Leidy. When Rosalyn worked with Leidy on my teeth, I felt like they were harmonizing a dance. From the exchange of dentist equipment to requesting suction tools for saliva, They complement each other without much conversation; it felt like a well-choreographed dance between Leidy and Rosalyn when they worked together. I was just there for the show; the experience was magical. Last but not least, Doctor Rosalyn takes pride in her work; she is a perfectionist. I sometimes heard her admire and also excited about her previous dental work on me. After reviewing my lengthy review, I would say you should jump on it if you are still deciding whether Crystal Lake Dental Associate, especially Doctor Rosalyn, is a good choice for dentist service.

She ignored that and immediately starts probing there causing me to scream in pain and telling her to stop. Instead of checking to see if I was ok, she slumped her shoulders and stared at the wall without a word. I knew right away that she was quite irritated by my audacity to react to pain. The dentist came in shortly after and began rattaling off a long list of everything that was wrong. She became more and more agitated about the issues. I was confused as this was the first I heard of it. Something felt off, and I indicated I was going to speak with my perio. I told them later I was going to get a 2nd opinion. I got a call from the dentist shortly afterward. Good on her for calling quickly and not sending it to someone else. The dentist proceeded to lecture me that because the hygenist was wearing a mask, there was no way I could know she was agitated. She was defending her employee, fair enough, but I know human body language, and I knew what her stance meant. There was no uncertainty. I had a better experience with the new dentist. She saw me shaking in the chair with anxiety from my previous experience, and with compassion, she quickly indicated that it's not as bad as it was made out to be, and we have just discussed a plan with my perio. Because of the trauma from here, I NOW require nitrious at any and all appointments out of fear of being made to feel pain with zero compassion.

I think I once received a check from my insurance company for $30.00. Dental insurance is a joke anyway. It was suggested to me to remove all of my teeth and get dentures. I have been coming to this practice since I was a little kid, about 25 years. I really enjoy visiting with my hygenist, Tiffany, while she cleans my teeth and Dr. Anjali is funny and so sweet. Both of these women are so gentle with my teeth and gums that I never dread coming to the dentist for my checkups, cleanings and any other work I might need done. I have a number of friends who have had unnecessary procedures or treatments at other dentists but Dr. Anjali takes a conservative approach with my dental work. I appreciate that she explains what my options are when work is required and she's great at sharing what the treatment plan entails as well as what I should feel as she's working. I would highly recommend Dr. Anjali & Tiffany at Wegrzyn Dental. To top it off, I was in for a regular cleaning & exam tonight, Dr. Anjali noticed that a minor cavity that they've been keeping an eye on has gotten a bit larger and recommended that we fill it before it causes any issues. The office schedule had an opening shortly after my original appointment with hygenist Kari (who was also fun and so nice). Dr. Anjali was able to PAINLESSLY fill this cavity without having to use a drill or even use any novocaine. It was so nice to have this taken care of during the same visit.
