She saw a different oral surgeon the next week and was diagnosed with oral cancer. This dentist could see that it was cancer with his eyes. My mother was dead in a year. I didn't think to post this review until my granddaughter was scheduled to have her wisdom teeth removed in his office. I knew I couldn't allow her to be a patient of his, and I knew I had to warn others that he is incompetent. My mother saw him for several months. Had he diagnosed her correctly she might have lived, or maybe lived longer. By the time she was diagnosed it had spread to her jaw and her brain. Not an easy death. I was charged for work he didn't do partials that were plastic flippers instead of the expensive porcilan I paid for. I went to a reputable Dentist who has been dentist of the year 4 years in a row and he told me in his 35 years he has never seen such poor work. The partials were not even flipper grade. From the minute you arrive until you leave, you are met with kindness, understanding, engagement, and just stellar service overall. My current dentist recommended 2 crowns priced at $1,000. I doubted his capability so I saw Dr. Pettey today just for a consultation. He said he could do some fillings and that would take care of the loss of enamel issue right then. I was pleasantly surprised he could fit me in when I was just scheduled for a consult. I was in there maybe an hour from start to finish and my 2 front teeth look brand new. My cost less insurance was $116 instead of what I could have paid ($1,000). You can't even see where the enamel loss was. As a result, I am switching to Dr. Pettey as my new dentist for me and my husband. Owning his own practice totally makes a difference in the care you are given. He and Johnna did an amazing job and I am so pleased with the outcome! Highly, highly recommend.
