I love this place!! I have never had a better experience at any health care provider than Aspen…read more They truly cared!! Everyone there does an amazing job and deserves appreciation.. I felt like family and will keep referring them to anyone who needs dental care.

The surgeon is only there one day a week so I get it. That being said my appointment was at 10 and they told me to come at 9:30. I did that and I wasn't seen until almost 1130. That being said I had a quick x-ray done of my mouth and they were just basically checking to see if my mouth was OK to start doing the implants and make an appointment for that. I am not kidding you I think the surgeon was in the office in my room for about 2 to 3 minutes. He just looked in my mouth and had looked at the x-rays before he had walked in and said oh I understand you're in a hurry to get back to work, your mouth looks fine. We can go ahead with the implants. And that was it. Such a long waiting time to see somebody for like two or three minutes. That was ridiculous. So that's the bad but the good is that they're really nice. Another bad thing is they don't have nitrous oxide so nothing to get you to relax before a dental procedure. They just numb you up and go from there. Though I've recently switched dentist lately and only went to Aspen to get implants. Even my dentist doesn't use nitro sock side. My old dentist did it did make the experience much easier for me to deal with since I have TMJ And it made me relaxed enough to keep my mouth open for a longer period of time.

Dr Vijay was great. My wisdom tooth removal was quick and utterly painless. Honestly the little shot of numbing agent was the hardest part and it wasn't bad at all. The office staff has been so kind and they got me in early both times. Although this is a much further drive for me coming from Michigan City, this is WORTH it. Good dentists are hard to come by and the chair side manner here is exceptional. Thank you.

BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT HIDDEN CHARGES. I took my daughter here for orthodontic treatment- Invisalign…read morein April 2025. I liked the doctor & the dental hygienist & they sat me down & gave me the treatment plan for her. My daughter has primary & secondary private dental/orthodontic coverage. She is under my plan through work as well as her dad's. The office submitted approval requests for the insurance. My insurance covered $2000, her dad's covered $1500. They told me after insurance, that my portion for 6months of Invisalign treatment was $2700. I paid it in full that same day & agreed to the treatment. The agreement was signed on iPad so maybe that was my mistake for not asking for printed copies. BOTH insurance policies paid out their full portions, totaling $3500. So for 6mos of Invisalign, they received $6200. The treatment completed- her teeth aren't perfect but they are better. A few months later I started getting bills. I got texts almost daily on my phone, as well as emails. They also sent messages to my teenage daughter's cell phone. I got a call from Dawn in the office who was EXTREMELY rude & said that insurance wasn't paying & I need to pay the remaining balance. I asked what the balance was & was told she didn't know bc she wasn't in front of a computer. I asked how much insurance paid & again, she didn't know & couldn't provide me with an emailed statement. I called the insurance company really upset & was told they had in fact paid out in FULL. I called the office back & told them that insurance claimed to have paid. Dawn could not verify that with me. THEN I got emails from Lily who told me that yes, they were mistaken & the insurance HAD paid out in full but there was a balance of $1,369.00. I asked how that could be if the insurance paid in full & I'd paid my agreed portion of $2700?? She told me that she doesn't set the cost & that is the remaining balance & it wasnt up for negotiation & if I didn't pay it immediately they would send me to collections. This is such a shady way to do business. They ran insurance benefits before hand, KNEW what the cost estimates were, told me my remaining portion, which I agreed to & paid for, then came back months later & said that I needed to pay another huge sum of money. The treatment plan hadn't changed. It wasn't more complex. They just added on more than $1,300 after the treatment was completed for unknown reasons. This will absolutely be a fight.

No shout out across the room to let someone know they are "next." (It was my first time at IDS). Their advanced preparation was obvious. A welcome screen with my name awaited with a pic of the smiling staff. VIP treatment and yet very personable - what a difference! I did not have to even pay $100 just to make the appointment. A plan was offered that was in my best interest instead of the dentist. I was the focal point, not someone who was being processed. The friendly professional banter among the staff and the cordiality was inviting. I was at home! The trust factor was through the roof! The care was thoroughly attentive and I actually cannot wait to go back! They will not ever need to send me a reminder. Thank you IDS!

I went to Ivory only because my previous dentist retired. For years I had routine six-month cleanings and was never told I needed a deep cleaning. But at my very first appointment here--scheduled for a regular cleaning--I was suddenly told I needed a deep cleaning instead. When I questioned it and asked for the routine cleaning I came in for, they refused to do it. I was told they couldn't perform a regular cleaning and that the deep cleaning was required. They reassured me repeatedly that they would work with my insurance and that it would be covered 100% because they "make sure patients don't have to pay out of pocket." After a long, frustrating discussion, I reluctantly agreed and had to schedule a separate appointment for the procedure. Then they told me I needed an 8-week checkup to see if my gums had healed and that after that I could have a normal cleaning. I went to that appointment, but when I checked out, I was suddenly told I had a 20% copay--something I had never been charged before. When I questioned it, I was casually told, "Oh, this was a peri-cleaning, not a routine cleaning." I paid it, even though I was frustrated. That was in October. Today I received a text mentioning a statement and a payment due. When I called, I was told my insurance had decided not to pay for that service at all, and that the office was "surprised." At this point, I cancelled all future appointments. Based on my experience, I would never return and will be sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions. I will be sure to let everyone I know about how this "dental" money hungry place and to stay away.
