First impression of the John Scott's Pub was that it was a huge location. Nice large bar and atmospheres. You have to order at the bar which is not a big deal and the waiter/bartenders were nice. We ordered a fish burger and a sirloin steak. Both meals came with a side of fries or potato wedges. My steak was a little over cooked but still pretty good. The fish burger had an strong preservative taste to it. Which made it seemed old tasting. The fries and wedges were the best part of the meals. The low rateing is mainly because I found a hair in the wedges. (Maybe that was why it tasted so good) lol jk . They were nice enough to give me an order of cheese fries and onion rings to go. (Since i was pretty much finished) I would recommend this place to have a drink and maybe get some food. Just make sure you ask them to hold the hair or ask for it on the side.

I've been here a few times now, and I must say this place is NOT good for groups since the volume is too high. On a crowded night (like Fridays) at the seats just by the bar it is impossible to hear what anyone is saying! My ears were ringing for days...almost. Also, you pay in advance when ordering from the menu. I guess that means to few waiters relative to number of guests. They don't have time to check on you? Be here early - meaning before 4 pm - to get a seat on second floor in the room facing Avenyn, which seems to be the best room. Also, bring a fat wallet - it will be needed. Prices are around SEK80 for 50cl draughts! Even more for a bottle...

It's a great bar for after work, you can grab a table or couch and get your beer at the bar or have a waiter come by and take your order. We've gotten the burger and the nachos and the nachos are gigantic, like an entire baking sheet. Unfortunately the nachos are good, but we asked for them without bbq sauce and it came with, and bbq sauce is kind of a strange choice for nachos. The burger was super delicious and also pretty big. The service is super friendly and all the great brew dog brews are on tap so it's a great place for beer drinkers and of course, your dog can come.

I ordered my beer, there were 3 tables of guests when I walked in. 2 more walked in after me and he forgot my beer. After 20 min my friend arrived so we walked up to order his beer and ask about mine. Most of the tables had reservations but I was there early and thought I wouldn't stay long enough for it to be an issue. Apparently they listened to others who told them that they needed to upgrade and extend their menu. They've done that, but here's why I wont be coming here, nearly everyone who came. Nearly everyone had a dog and half of them didnt have well behaved dogs. Maybe it's ok at a dog park, but I dont want dogs running underfoot and sniffing at my table, or getting territorial in a public restaurant and barking when a new dog walks in the door or past their table. I get that the name is brewdog, but it's more bratdog brewery.

The beer is the cheapest in town (along with kellys and sejedln) and the peanuts are always free. It is packed on weekends but if you are at all social, it doesn't become a problem. Did I mention how friendly people are? The cheap beer attracts a very young clientele, expect to feel like an oldtimer if you're over 30. A bit of a hipstery student crowd, but far more chill than the nearby hipster pubs. It is the dive bar to end all dive bars. Decor isn't even so bad, biggest complaint about the ambiance is the cheap beer gets spilled often. I have drank here more than any pub in town. A huge english speaking foreign clientele.
