Not…read moresomething I would typically do because I have a trusted stylist I normally go to at salonTaylor Taylor. However, given the circumstances, my hair needed to be cut and I was in the area. Let's begin with the shampoo, consisting of the stylist scratching my scalp and hair line-- being way too rough. Then it was cutting my hair: I specifically showed Raymond a photo of a haircut i had in mind which I thought wouldn't think was to difficult to achieve. However, he still managed to cut my hair significantly shorter than what I told him to cut off. I explained to him I was very disappointed with my hair cut. While I was sitting there, I overheard him talk to another stylist about me, saying these very rude and mean things. To make the matter worse, the blow-dry/straightening: He tugged my hair with the bristled brush as if my head was a mannequin. Seriously, this was the most painful styling experience of my life. Walking out of the salon, my head was in pain from the tugging and pulling the stylist had done to my hair. I promised myself I would never go to another salon after this experience. Taking risks is something I will no longer do.

So whats new about Shimmers, well to start with its in easy walking distance from home, its situated on a busy main road, but has off street parking. Its predominately its aimed at women, but they do cater for us guys, who like to just walk in for a quick trim. The salon is fresh and bright, and has a separate hair washing and treatment area, My wife is now a regular there, and me; well if having your hair cut when it needs it, then i must be a regular too.

Rush Hair Salon opened recently in Brentwood and of course to attract new clients they advertised 50% online discount on any treatment. Feeling all exited to try the new place, I attempted to book an appointment online for full colour and hair cut. Needless to say it all started off on the wrong foot. Any appointment I wanted to choose was unavailable .Finally I got one for a stylist director, WOW ! I was really impressed .Finally my hair will get a touch from such a professional.On the day of my appointment I was feeling so good and full of anticipation, to get something new and fabulous, I went to this place.I was welcomed by some guy who escorted me to take a seat ,I presumed he was a director. After few minutes some young fellow appeared, "Hello" he said, "I am Mark" ,to my surprise he was way too young to be a director ,but hell I thought, these days you never know. He even did not ask me what I wanted to do ,all he was interested in, is if I know my discount will be only on one treatment.I reassured him "I know how much I have to pay" All this made me feel little bit small ,like I am actually not really wanted ,because I am not going to spend much money there £75 was for colour and cut, obviously not enough for the hard work of a "Director" The "director" examined my hair and gave a verdict ,"I can not colour it in any way your hair will fall out, it is too damaged" I guess he had a dermatologist degree at least.But he had just pathetic L'oreal course and i guess not much of an real life hairdresser experience. He wanted me to have some treatments first.I suggested maybe I could just have some hair cut and take some of the damaged hair off with no colouring ,at first he kind of liked the idea ,but it was just because he did not figured he had to give a 50% discount on it ,so it would be something like £25- for too much hard work for such a small amount for a "director". Well, long story short I couldn't have felt more unwelcome just because I wanted to use such a widely advertised discount. At the end of this humiliating experience, the owner of the place said to me :"I think it will be better if we do nothing for you today" What a great place!!!! All what they want is to get as much money as they can talk you into spending,I am sure a lot of naive women will fall in this trap ,but not me. And you know what, I am glad I did not get a service there ,I went the same day to another place and got my hair cut,friendly advice and treatment for a fraction of the price - Felt great afterwards!!! Conclusion - Extremely Rude, Unprofessional people - we do not need them in Brentwood.

I went there tomorrow - 22102015. Before haircut I showed him very clear two photos of my previous haircut and he said clear and I will do the same. However he completely cut my hair terrible, not same not similar, it was the worst haircut in my life. Although I didn't like, I took off 10gbp but he said 15,5gbp, and he said 10 pound is only by walking not by an reservation. He is also completely cheater(small ~40 years old guy).
