My experience is almost exactlly the same as the lady above, I wish I had read her review before. I asked to have a bit of a change to my mid length hair and the guy started talking about aysymmetric. He mimed a fringe on my face, and agreed when I showed him the length I was happy to have taken off.
I sank into reading my magazine; I thouhgt a lot of hair was coming off but thought that it would be fine and it was a nice salon. I began to get really worried when he started precision trimming at the back. Again, I thought, hair grows, it'll be fine, it'll be funky.
When he finally finished (again a really long hair cut two hours in total) he must have known from the look on my face that I wasn't happy. I said I didn't like it, it was really severe, he'd gone much shorter than we talked about (I've got a proper lego helmet on the back of my head) and it looked strange. He just kept going on about the style, how great it was and explaining what he'd done. It got to the point where I was about to just throw my card at them and run out of the salon, I just wanted to get out. Finally he agreed to even up the front, although he kept grumbling about how his idea was better. Well I hate to disagree, but it is my face after all. To get to this point, I had to use the word 'hate' which I was surprised at. I thought hairdressers wanted their clients to be happy and would be upset if they weren't not this guy.
Finally I left, on the verge of tears, with hacked into hairs, some random blunt layers and at least a hair cut that was even at the front. I crossed the road, went to Barrons, where they were utterly lovely and did what they could to sort out the damage. It looks half decent now from the front, but the back makes me want to cry every time I look at it.
Vote with your feet, given that their customer service is so poor and they don't care if you end up hating your hair. Never, never go to this salon. read more
