We had complete confidence in Mike and were expecting to have a long term relationship with this company providing us with financial advice. Instead, out of nowhere, Mike told us at the end of one meeting that neither he nor anyone else at the firm could provide services to us. So just like that we were left with no financial advisor!! For that reason I would suggest not getting involved with this firm -- you never know if they are going to spontaneously decide they no longer want your business.

In addition, they wanted to file extension because I was "late" getting my information to them. I get final reports from my investments at the end of March every year, and it has never been an issue before. In addition, they wanted to have a different accountant prepare my taxes, as opposed to the person I've used all these years. Also, they are no longer allowing in-person meetings. I was to submit my information and pick it up my returns when notified. Korhorn claim they've been undercharging for many years. As they are financial planners, this doesn't reflect well their abilities. And it should be clear, I understand raising fees, but not more than doubling them. They told me I wouldn't be able to find anyone to do it cheaper. I not only found a firm that charges a reasonable price -- they prepared my taxes without filing an extension. I'm disappointed in Korhorn, and I feel they could have handled this better. They've lost my business and I've lost my confidence in them. This is my experience and my opinion only.

We were looking for a company that was a bit more creative in solution finding for our situation And we were hopeful that this was the place. It appears that a mistake was made by the tax prepair. And as a result, we went back-and-forth with the IRS about fees and penalties. We're not entirely sure that we received what we wanted and chances are we won't be using this company again in the future. Even so, they were very friendly and they took care of us the best that they could.
