It wasn't much, but after a full Scottish breakfast, including haggis that morning, we just needed a wee bit to stop the growl. All the ingredients were fresh. They've got lots of meats and jarred food stuffs for sale, but we weren't in any position to take such items with us, nor to have it shipped.

The staff are very friendly and are always willing to help and try and accommodate requests. There is a good selection of products to choose from. The quality is also very good. They have won awards and all well known for being champion Haggis makers. Their Haggis is certainly the best I have ever tasted. They also have a selection of relishes and sauces to choose from. The prices are on par with any other good quality butchers. This is definately a great place to get some fresh, good quality cuts of meat.

Later, while on my ferry journey to Stornoway, I decided to look up the Tesco company and learned it was founded in 1919 and had operations outside of Scotland in a handful of countries including Hungary and Ireland. The inside of the store was straightforward to navigate and I got a few produce items, canned goods, and a small container of eggs. The prices were good and check out was simple with friendly workers. Products I bought were in good condition and served as snack and meal items both on the ferry ride to Stornoway and while in the Outer Isles until I replenished my supplies. Produce items and eggs were fresh and flavorful and the canned items and eggs easy to cook with.
