This is the St David's offering and its far cheaper than any of the cities NCP's, its above all the shops so you can't get any more convenient and there is always space. Parking will cost you about a pound an hour unless your there over 4 hours when it goes up. After 5pm it only costs £1 for the evening, perfect for late night shopping or a meal out. You can get your car washed too for a fiver! The slight problem is it takes about 5 minutes of driving through a circular tube up to the car parking levels. I have an intense fear of breaking down everytime I go in and leave. The other reason I wanted to mention this car park is the little known view you get of the city from the top. Really if you want to get an ariel view of all of Cardiff's sites, take a trip up there!

The staff are helpful and friendly, and there are plenty of facilities including shops, cafés, and waiting areas. Trains run regularly to lots of destinations, and information boards are clear and up to date. It's a busy station, but everything runs smoothly. Great little station.

St David's is a large mall in the centre of Cardiff, I was quite a regular here, coming here…read moreevery-day on my weekend in Cardiff, mainly because of the large selection of shops to browse, and even places to grab something for eat to drink and it being just minutes away on foot from the Hilton hotel, which I stayed at throughout my trip to the welsh capital. This mall is huge, it is split into two parts including a bridge to a large John Lewis store, which is over 4 floors in this mall, with two having direct enterences into both floors of the mall, although just being attached by a bridge in some aspects, it is its' own place, so it is able to have more floors than the mall itself and is one of the anchor stores for the mall. The mall did open in 1991, but does feel more modern than that, apart from a few aspects, such as the lifts which are well hidden down a passageway which doesn't seem very nice, and does feel one of the older parts of the mall, which is very different, in a negative way compared to what other malls do, such as Manchester Arndale and The Trafford Centre which both have nice, glass lifts in the middle of the wall, making it seem welcoming and not the opposite. There are 203 stores here, with a whopping 5 anchor tenants, which include a large Primark store, which is also over 4 floors as I recall, John Lewis as previously mentioned, a large Debenhams store, at the other side to John Lewis as well as Marks and Spencer, and Boots. An interesting fact is that the John Lewis located here, is the largest branch the company have outside of London and was the first ever branch to open in Wales, back in 2009. Its' also worth noting, that both floors are quite big, with the upper floor being a little smaller, however the upper floor seems to be filled with larger stores such as H&M, Apple and Paperchase, to name just a few. These stores just seen huge stores, you wouldn't normally expect to find in a mall. This mall is really nice, and is huge and is really nice to go with the Cardiff high street, I can't help but notice a supermarket of some kind would fit into to this store such as a Waitrose store, which is owned by John Lewis to join the anchors of this mall however I sadly feel I can't go over 2 stars, with two big issues stopping me, such as the mall being split into two parts making it confusing, and hard to navigate around even after multiple visits, another big issue is the problem with the lifts, not seeming nice and seeming one of the old things about this mall, there is a small food-court on both floors called "East-side" with many cuisine types, but this doesn't really stand out and is just average its-self.

So, if you lose yourself shopping for just over 2 hours, you'll be forking out a tenner for parking - which for Cardiff seems a bit steep. I guess the central location means plenty of professionals might use the car park during working hours - so perhaps that's why they hike up the prices. It's not the most pleasant car park in Cardiff, either - for shopping I'd head to the one in St David's 2 Centre by John Lewis.

Yes, it is probably as safe as any…read moreother car park, but the cost is extortionate. 3 hours parking cost me £11.50 whereas St David's 2 and John Lewis car park would have cost just £1 for an entire evening's parking from 6pm. So I don't agree with Amanda that the charges are similar at all. Simply outrageous and I for one will not be using it again. I'd rather go to the more spacious and safe feeling John Lewis and walk to where I need to go.

Especially with Cardiff Council's new responsibility to parking fines. Parking in Cardiff can be very costly if you do not adhere to road markings etc and even if you do, the car parks can charge quite a pretty penny depending when and where you are parking. For this reason, why not simply park here and ride the bus. It's only £3.00 to park at this facility which has ample spaces free throughout the day and then you can ride the bus into town for free. It doesn't really take that much longer and there is a bus every 15 minutes so you never have to wait too long before the next bus. The busses are all very new looking and this service is in operation on weekends. Saturday service is 9am until 6pm and Sunday service is 10am until 5:37pm

Huge numbers of people venture down this arcade to enjoy the gastro delights of New York Deli, where you can get enormous sandwiches and bagels overflowing with authentic NY-style fillings. And nearly every other establishment in the arcade is quite different from the next, ranging from The Wardrobe for men's clothing to unique clothing boutiques such as Pussy Galore - and gift and jewellery shops such as Bejewelled. The Art of the Selfie exhibit had a small cost which was quite fair. Van Gogh's Self Portrait was the main draw, but they also had Rembrandt and other artists. In the other rooms, there were so many artifacts. Rooms within rooms and beyond, you can lose hours reading about everything on display.
