Growing up in southern California, I loved the diversity around me, and felt that the many different life experiences and perspectives were helpful for me. We have found that American Heritage teachers are very intentional about providing opportunities to the students to experience diverse life experiences and beliefs, while maintaining faithfulness to LDS perspectives.

It has been great to see the heroes my three children learn about in the classroom. Heroes that look like them, Black African Americans. In addition the yearly Black History Month assemblies that my family has been able to take part in several times is a favorite for us. So grateful to know my children are surrounded by people that love them, SEE them and go out of their way to make them feel welcome and valued. Thank you beyond words American Heritage School. I feel our review can still hold true, even with that limited scope. This school was wonderful. It's a treasure. My child was safe there. His KINDERGARTEN teacher had a MASTER'S degree. I find that incredible! Each teacher also has a classroom helper/teacher every day, so when a substitute is needed, it's someone already familiar with students and the material. I love that parents are in the classroom and teachers feel free to ask for help. I think teachers should be supported like that. Overall, I felt the parents were kept informed, the school had high standards, and such kind children.

My children are making great progress. previous to going to Timp Academy we went to a private school, which was known for being academically rigorous 1-2 grade levels above. Timp Academy is providing results beyond their private school. So far all of the teachers have been wonderful. Be prepared to give your children some assistance with homework.

I went to Manila when I was a kid. The staff was always so kind and helpful. The teachers were also…read morekind and would always be there to help. I went to Manila from kindergarten to 6th grade and was never bullied, never was sad, and I never was alone. And that's coming from someone who wasn't ever popular. All the kids were great and when I was in 5th grade there was a student teacher who always made me super happy and made me look forward to school. I loved going to Manila and I really recommend sending your kids there. I miss you Manila Elementary!
