Somehow, I was sent to two of them, but they were very different and perhaps I learned something a single consultation might miss. My Bucks Mercer Hearing Center was far more comprehensive. I met with Susan Harrison, MS, a certified audiologist in her office at Premier ENT, a part of the PennMed system. After discussing my experience with recent hearing loss, and reviewing the test results from my recent lab visit, she explained my options - which were basically a hearing aid choice, or just to live with the problem. I haven't decided yet, but she had sample hearing aids from reputable companies for me to try on. I tested the two most highly recommended. One was clearly better than the other. They were both external devices that sat behind the ear and passed a thin wire into the ear held in place my a soft plastic piece that hugged the bottom of my bottom lobe. Definitely an improvement, but the cost for one approached $3,000 with warranty and tuneups like an automobile. But, I just learned that Costco sells hearing aids, too. I'll give them a visit to compare.

She was genuinely interested in my overall health and went above and beyond to take care of all my needs. It's hard to switch doctors but she made me feel comfortable and I'm glad she's part of this practice. This medical group has always been great about calling me back and getting me in the office ASAP when I'm sick. They have late evening appointments which work great with my schedule. I highly recommend them for anyone who's looking for a general physician in the Northeast!

I would not recommend Dr. Margi Johnson as your primary physician if you suffer from panic attacks…read more I was admitted into the emergency room on 11/3/16 I was prescribed anti anxiety meds and diagnosed with anxiety. I was told to follow up w my primary doctor which I did not have at the time. I scheduled an appointment w Dr. Johnson provided her the ER paperwork n RX bottle she refused to assist me with my panic attacks. She was brief w my medical history and showed lack of concern. I scheduled an appointment with a Psych two weeks later. During that period I suffered massive panic attacks and was completely miserable. The office would not help me and referred me back to the ER. Now I am stuck with a $200 ER bill for a diagnosis that could have been treated by Dr. Johnson and the office. For the past few year I'd been going to the Jefferson Community Medicine Center whenever I needed a prescription or wasn't feeling well, never seeing the same person twice and usually even the follow up appointments were with someone new. Long story short, my father had received atrocious and frankly shameful treatment from Jefferson that would eventually lead to his untimely passing away and although it was in a different department I really just wanted nothing to do with Jeff ever again. I figured instead of looking on my insurance website for a PCP why not try Yelp since I use it for everything else which led me to Triangle Medical and Dr. Watkins. From the jump I could tell Dr. Watkins was different, he took the time to listen to me, ask me questions, and actually took my concerns into consideration. I've been seeing him for almost a year and we have uncovered several health issues that could greatly affect me down the road and have actively made a plan to get them taken care of. Having complete faith in a physician was something I never thought I'd feel after what happened to my father but the level of comfort and confidence I have with Dr. Watkins really gives me a feeling of security. The Triangle Medical office is on 10th St. right by Cheu Noodle Bar (which is also a huge bonus if your hungry post appointment). The waiting room is small but comfortable and I've always been able to get an appointment within a couple days of calling which is nice. Yesterday I was on the phone with my insurance company and they were trying to figure out the medical code for a CAT scan I needed so they called the office. When the lady came back on with me she said she was shocked she was actually able to speak with Dr. Watkins and that he was the nicest doctor she'd ever spoken with. I'm straight and before I came here someone at my gym said they thought Triangle was geared more towards the LGBT community. To my knowledge despite a heightened sense of style and killer dance moves, gay and straight men are genetically the same, get sick, and require the care of a compitent physician. I've referred my gay friends here just a much as my straight friends. I really feel fortunate I found Dr. Watkins and am grateful for the part he's playing in my well-being.

He has squeezed me in at the very last minute, and STILL didn't rush me out without making sure that we covered everything. I have 100% confidence in his technical and medical knowledge, and I actually like the fact that he often has medical students in the office seeing patients...this speaks to the trust that the local med schools have in his abilities, and I also feel that someone who teaches is, at the same time, constantly learning. Whenever I've needed blood work, he doesn't send me to a lab...he takes the blood right then and there (which is good because, in the past, doctors have given me scripts for blood work, but I'd never go). In the past, I've had to go back twice in one week and he made sure that I wasn't charged for the follow up visit....maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think every doctor would be so considerate. In a nutshell, I've been so happy with Dr. Watkins that I felt compelled to write a review here on Yelp! People DESERVE to have a doctor like Mark and in return, he deserves the business.

I would give them 10 stars if I could…read more.. Absolutely the best doctors office I have ever been to, which is saying a lot considering it is 99% residents. First off, the office staff is extremely sweet and accommodating.... to everyone. The Residents were very knowledgeable and easy-going... and even when the attending was needed to come in and consult me, she took her time and was extremely helpful. The part that floored me, was when I needed to get referred to a neuro-ophthalmologist and considering I am professional medical student, not being able to read out of one of my eyes is a pretty "urgent" matter when I spend 99% of my time studying. Well, the receptionist could not get me in to the specialists office for a VERY long time... that was when the resident I had been working with(Dr. Patel) came out and spoke with the other office's staff himself. When they tried to tell him to have me "come in and they would try and get me in," he refused to accept having me miss class without a guaranteed appointment time. Then when the other office couldn't come up with anything, they offered to have their on-call residents come in and help with overflow that day to help get me in quicker. I mean WOW!! The is without a doubt the nicest thing any doctor has done for me... or that I have ever even heard of anyone doing. While I know that is not something that can ever be expected out of a doctors office, or may not even realistically be possible, the fact that they offered to do that, it just floored me (in a good way). Summary: Best Patient Care I have ever heard of in my life! ***My referring Primary Care Dr. was also with Drexel (an office right next door- 231 n. broad I think), it was Dr. Nina Heung who I was also VERY happy with.

Any cardiologist working there is selected from the best around the world for technical brilliance and humanistic character. Returned last week for a exam and stress test. I saw three doctors, and two were present DURING the walk on the treadmill. As it was nuclear, I had two sessions with the latest camera, which I basically sat in as it circled around me. No muss. No fuss. Kudos to Drs. Savage, Hansen and Yair, and the technicians. I felt totally secure with these folks. Their competence and caring were omnipresent. Unlike other such procedures I have endured where it often seems they don't know what they're doing, at JHI, that is never a worry. My personal cardiologist called the next day with the results, and reassured me that all we needed to address was a BP issue with a medicinal tweak. Nice to know I will live forever.

Like many people, I dread most interactions with any facet of the medical establishment--which…read moremight be why I was several years overdue on an echocardiogram. That dread was quickly displaced by my experience with the Jefferson Heart Institute, which was remarkably pleasant and efficient. I barely had to wait for my appointment, and I was fortunate enough to get Dr. Wiener, an affable, direct doctor who spoke with clarity and was able to arrange for an echo almost immediately--I arrived at 10, and after an EKG, my meeting with the doctor, the echo, and then one further consultation, I was out by noon. I would unhesitatingly recommend this establishment, and it fills me with anger and sorrow that not everyone has access to the health-care resources that would allow them these sorts of visits. On the upshot, my heart is in good health, so that's nice to know.
