Jessica is not only trained and accredited in what she does but she is extremely knowledgeable and her passion is like no one else. On the teaching side, no matter what my questions were or my abilities, she was and continues to be supportive and guides me accordingly. Don't be surprised if you get emails from her at wee hours - she is dedicated to being available to answer your questions (even my redundant ones). Jessica is great. She is receptive to the process - she hears your goals, provides you with advice on what to expect and is very realistic about timelines. On the performance side, she is just as remarkable to the ears. She is committed to excellence in all her performances and aims to ensure her audience is happy. I attended a wedding where she performed and she was truly, truly amazing. The guests were a pretty discerning crowd, and I can't say how many people told the family of the bride/groom that they had the best band and the best dance party they had ever been to. Good vibes, good energy, good music. I would recommend her for all your music needs.

The St. Royals were the heart and soul of our reception. I can't imagine the night without them,…read moreand can't recommend them enough. We're from out of town, so it was their website that initially won us over; this was clearly an amazing group of performers, and their song selection was precisely what we were hoping for. From there, we got into Skype contact with James, who was immediately charming, obliging, and very practical. Which set another precedent: that this is a group of professionals. There was zero friction in the preparation. Could they travel to Niagara-on-the-Lake? Absolutely. And stay late? Sure. Learn a song? Yes. Accommodate a father-daughter dance, pause their set for a brief ceremony at midnight, play something on loop for a traditional Slovakian wedding dance? No problems. And they had recommendations and advice at every turn. The day of, they showed up early and handled all their prep. They managed to tiptoe in during the speeches, perfectly timed for the first dance. A miscue on our part was handled in stride, and all night they were totally attentive to both us and our guests. It goes without saying that the music was incredible, that everyone was up and dancing, that the vocalist was out of this world and that our man James killed it on trumpet. Having the St. Royals relieved us of so much worry. We had no qualms about relying on them, and our experience bore that out: they were consummate professionals, and amazing performers. Our guests are still raving about the quality of the music. And please, whatever you do: don't forget the brass.

This isn't the first time I've left there wondering what has happened in her life to make her so miserable? I took a rental in to be looked at because one of a key's wasn't closing. As I was inquiring about the issue I started to sense an attitude from the female clerk. Maybe I as a customer gave up those rights of inquiry when i signed the rental agreement (?). So, I with a little annoyed inflection in return inquired about her unnecessary attitude. Her loud and scolding retort informed me it was because she was out at the counter while 'he' (the owner) was in the back eating dinner and that this was the second instrument that I've brought back for repairs due to dropped damage! And that I was given a big break on the last repair! So my loud and excited reply was to apologize for stopping in during normal business (and apparently) dinner hours. I also apologized because I didn't realize and show my appreciation for the "big break" I got on the last repair! I also apologized and was very sorry that I rented many instruments from them over the course of years for our daughter and son... and that I would be sure to inform others of my unpleasant experience. Customer service - and honestly human decency - is just severely lacking. Our son won't even go in there to purchase reeds or other supplies anymore because this lady has been so miserable when we've stopped in the past. Perhaps this damage was our fault - perhaps not, however, does understanding the depth of the repair and the cost seem an unreasonable request? We've spent so much money there through the years, it's unreal how we've been treated when we came in for a repair request. The owner did come out to address the situation and although we've found him to be decent in the past, he didn't apologize for the terrible treatment by his female clerk...and that is failing at Customer Service 101.
