After my first visit, I can confidently say the positive reviews are well-deserved. Dr. Sype is down-to-earth, honest, caring, and professional. He personally cleaned my teeth instead of having a hygienist do it, and it was hands down the best cleaning I've ever had. Some months back he brought a new dentist into the practice, but I don't recall any mention that Dr. Brant would be leaving, but he has. Today upon requesting an appointment with Dr. Brant I was informed that he has moved to Billings, Montana and is no longer practicing at this office. This is confusing as the office still refers to it as the office of "Dr. Hartman and Dr. Brant." This is incorrect. The office is now called North Tabor Dental and Dr. Brant is no longer practicing here. Very disappointing as he is an excellent dentist. I was in recently for a cleaning and check up expecting to see a familiar hygienist and Dr. Brant, but was seen by a new hygienist who didn't explain well what she was doing or why. She used a tool that I wasn't familiar with and only mentioned "pockets" and that the tool was ultrasonic. I saw Dr. Hartman for a less than thorough exam. All he said was that he didn't see any cavities. He didn't mention the pockets or suggest any treatment or changes on my part to address them. Overall, I was underwhelmed by the experience which didn't live up to the high expectations set by Dr. Brant and his excellent staff, who always explained what they were doing, why, and what I could do to improve my dental health, if anything. I will be looking for a new dentist.

Which, I'd been nervous about after I mistakenly went to a 'holistic' dentist for that, which cost so much, and took very long to redo. I had to go to a perio specialist, then to put my zirconia implant crown on, Dr Edwards did a whole procedure to do that perfectly. And I'm very grateful to him that I can now chew normally and not worry about it anymore. Being born without an adult tooth is no picnic, but luckily there are pros like Dr E to help us out with these things in life.

An awful experience, cannot recommend…read more I had zero pain prior to my appointment. I needed a filling and during the filling I expressed that I was having intense pain. The dentist kept giving anesthetic injections but I could still feel the pain of the drilling so it does not feel it was being done right. First time that has ever happened. Afterward, I was in excruciating pain for a week, went back in a 2nd time to have her check what was wrong. She said everything was fine despite my pain and sent me home. I continued to be in severe pain for MONTHS until I was able to finally get in with a different dental clinic. The new dentist was able to immediately diagnose the problem, it was that the first dentist at Woodstock Smiles did not finish the tooth properly and had left a gap open at the bottom of the tooth, where food was getting trapped and nerves were exposed and it had become infected. I required antibiotics. He cleaned it out and sealed the tooth properly, took barely 15 minutes, and the pain stopped. No more pain since. Then, Woodstock Smiles tried charging me $80 for the 2nd visit (which was only needed because she did the first one wrong) -- and since she did nothing to help me on the 2nd visit, I refused to pay. They started to send me to collections until I mentioned filing a malpractice lawsuit. Then they removed the charge. So it seems this dentist does not know what she is doing. She caused me MONTHS of agonizing pain and illness, gaslit me that everthing was fine, while I was in so much pain I could not even chew food, because she failed to do a simple filling correctly. And it only took a good dentist 3 minutes to see what she did wrong, and 15 minutes to fix it. So I cannot recommend anyone going here. Maybe just for a cleaning, but not any actual dental work. I would not trust it. Instead, I highly suggest Dr. Blair at Powell Dental as he was quickly able to see what Woodstock Smiles did wrong, and fixed it fast, with zero pain.
