I walked in initially for a second opinion, also because of the great reviews, and stayed because of the work and integrity Dr. Dan and his team showed from the get go. He really takes pride in his work and it shows. Lo and behold I did not need a root canal and my dental health has been the best its been in a long time. They're also open on Saturdays! Coming from someone with a low pain threshold, I was really impressed with how careful Dr. Dan is and also that there's a tv on the freaking ceiling to keep you distracted. The ladies at the front are always sweet, easy to contact, and know what they're talking about as well. I can't say enough nice things, I'll be recommending everyone :)

So I contact this office and it all started great. Then the receptionist started questioning the validity of my insurance. Their version of course makes it sound innocent... They offer payment plants and advice on how to proceed with whatever it is you need done. They will also contact your insurance for estimates. The offices are spotless, bright, and filled with natural plants that make going to the dentist less stressful due to the environment. Dr. Kim claimed that she wouldn't know if I needed root canals unless she took my current fillings apart. She vaguely pointed out the problematic teeth on the X-ray. The whole discussion just seemed really strange to me because when she initially entered the room she said that my teeth looked okay. Also, I tend to take care of my teeth, and was not experiencing any pain. I decided to get a second opinion from another doctor in NYC. It turns out that I didn't need any root canals. The dentist that I went to didn't need to break down my current fillings to determine this. I feel like they hire a lot of inexperienced dentists at this location, and not senior dentists to give second opinions on procedures. After doing my research, I found out that Dr. Kim had graduated dental school a few years which probably explains her lack of knowledge.
