But then there's the Emotional Intelligence angle, and many doctors fail there.I recently had an abscess in my tooth and I would not wish it on anyone. Imagine going to bed on a random Tuesday night and waking up Wednesday in utter agony with one side of your jaw swollen out two inches. It's a very scary situation. I've since heard of some people needing the ER. Dr Mitrut and his staff? Every single one of them was fantastic at all phases. Lisa's empathy came through on the first call; the staff, overall, are clearly experienced with emergency situations. And, importantly, Dr. Mitrut took the TIME to explain every stage of the events. That's rare. Too many doctors, in my own personal opinion, rely on their own experience without taking the time to recognize a person is in distress. Dr. Mitrut took those extra moments and I can't recommend him or this office enough because of that.

She's highly skilled, honest, competent, and kind!! Since, my first visit, I've been back for now 2 more dental "emergencies"-- and she's handled each one with much skill and grace. And, I will add-- no pain!! Last evening, a crown broke, and I called for an appointment-- I can't express how thankful I was to get an appointment this morning!! Additionally, what a sense of relief I had knowing where to go to get help, and knowing Dr. Yoo would see me. I felt at peace-- I knew she would be able to do a great job-- which she did!! For two years I had on braces that did me no good at all! Also, the last day I was getting my braces changed, Dr. Gehani literally pushed me down with his arms so I could not get up because I was gagging like crazy on the gushy stuff that you use to get you fitted. This resulted in me crying my eyes out in front of the whole waiting room, and Dr. Gehani running into his apartment from being ashamed. Also, his wife was VERY RUDE and kicked my mom and I out. After that, my dad was really upset and called Dr. Gehani explaining that he wanted to speak to him. I DONT KNOW WHY but this putrid mad decided to tell the police that he is threatening him. With absolutely no proof they arrested my dad and let him go after a few hours considering the fact that there was legitimacy. I'm so surprised to see that this place has 5 stars. Dr. Lin came highly recommended by my dentist, and now I can see why. She went above and beyond to fit me into her already packed schedule because she knew I was dealing with tooth pain that needed attention before I left for vacation. But before I dive into how brilliant Dr. Lin was yesterday, I want to give a bit of backstory. Dr. Lin was supposed to do my root canal three weeks ago. At the time, she managed to squeeze me in for an emergency consultation and told me to return after the weekend for the procedure. Then, as luck would have it, Dr. Lin fell ill and had to be hospitalized. Her staff called me to reschedule and kept me updated while she recovered. Then, the office had to close for a weeklong renovation. Naturally, I started to worry I'd have to leave for my vacation with a tooth infection. Thankfully, Dr. Lin's staff reassured me and fit me in for the last appointment yesterday. I could tell she had a full day and was still recovering from her own illness, yet she focused entirely on ME. She took the time to address all my concerns and patiently listened to my fears. She even said she'd double-check to see if I even needed a root canal, and if I didn't, we could all go home early! Turns out, I did need the root canal--my tooth's nerve had died. Dr. Lin knew how nervous I was, especially about the procedure and all the needles involved. To help ease my anxiety, she handed me a fluffy plushie to hug while she worked. That small gesture honestly made a huge difference! Dr. Lin had told me the procedure would take about an hour, but it ended up taking two. Why? It was my last molar, and the nerves were curved, which made the process more complicated. But Dr. Lin explained every step and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. Her attention to detail and calming presence really put me at ease. She even took two x-rays during the procedure to make sure everything was perfect. Throughout, there was zero pain, and even though she warned me I might have jaw pain from holding my mouth open for so long, I didn't feel any discomfort. I waited a day to write this review to get a sense of how I was feeling, and while there's some slight pain when I bite down (which is normal), I'm feeling really good. Dr. Lin even called me today to check in and see how I was doing. Also, I have to mention the office renovations! The new baby blue walls are a beautiful update to an already great space. Thank you so much, Dr. Lin, for making this experience as pain- and fear-free as possible--and for being such a caring, dedicated doctor. And a huge thank you to Lisa, Tom, and Lucille for patiently working overtime to make sure everything went smoothly!
