Amazing!! I will need to have multiple treatments for my particular problem, but Dr. Kasch has made more progress in one session than three other dermatologists have made in twelve combined. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive walking up to the door. Looks more like someone's residence than a business, but it's downtown, so I suppose that's kind of normal. My fears were quickly alleviated as I walked inside and it looked like a quaint little doctor's office. Was immediately roomed and seen by the physician more quickly than I can recall being seen by anyone, despite him apologizing for his tardiness. Dr. Kasch appears to be very kind and genuinely cares about his patients and their outcomes. Explained everything he was doing, why he was doing it and the reasons that previous treatments have failed. Price for service was extremely reasonable. I'm not able to use my insurance, but I honestly don't care. I've been dealing with this issue and multiple failed attempts for about 6 years now, so results are the only thing that really matter and he is making that happen. On top of all that, he sent me a text to check on me the next day (a Saturday mind you) to make sure that things were progressing as expected. Where have you been all my life? After both of my skin doctors retired - Dennis Daughters and Gary Smith - I couldn't find anybody else for my annual "Spring Cleaning" - skin tag removal. Dr. Kashc, MD, had a solid 5-star reviews, until I showed up. He split that skin tag removal into 4-5 visits, and charged me for Each and Every of them, never mind that he managed to spill a liquid nitrogen on my temple during Visit #1, drilled a hematoma on the back of my neck AND burned a huge white spot in front of my neck (I still have it, size of a walnut). Dr. Daughters was charging me $55 for 15-20 min. procedure, burning off ALL my tags in 1(one) visit, while Dr. Kasch charged me around $400, including for an additional visit for hematoma and prescribed medications. I said back then that "there is a bump on the back of my neck, size of a blueberry. I'm afraid to look at it...", and he assured me: "Yes, this is exactly how it looks like: a blueberry!!" read more

I promptly arrived and was seen very quickly once I was placed in a room and signing papers. Dr. Kasch is an extremely goofy older gentleman who made the whole experience fun and comforting! He explained things well and is a funny guy! I came to get a black head removed, soon to be explained a cyst instead, and Dr. Kasch talked through the whole procedure, providing a smooth and excellent experience. Sadly, I do not insurance, but that's never a deterrent when I find a great medical specialist. I have been going to Dr, Kasch for 25 years! I moved to Pleasant Hill and I still go to him. When I have a bump on my face, I take a picture of it and send to to his office. He tells me whether I need to come in right away, or not. I have been a UC Davis patient, but because of their wait times, I find I can get in to see Dr. Kasch, get the biopsy results, get to the surgeon, have the Mohs surgery, all completed before even getting an appointment with a dermatologist through John Muir. Dr Kasch does not take insurance, but his fees are reasonable, and the other costs (lab biopsy, surgery, medications) are all covered by medicare. read more

There were 2 other reviews on this site showing facial mole removals that were PERFECT, with no scarring, and that is what drew me to this office. Additionally, someone on a social media site mentioned his name as being very good. Since then, I have had multiple moles on my face removed by Dr. Kasch. He is extremely knowledgeable on how long it will take to heal and when bandages need to be changed to facilitate optimal healing and no to little scarring. I cannot express how professional and kind Dr. Kasch is. I was nervous before the appointment due to social anxiety. The moment he walked into the room and started talking, it quickly melted away. He talked the entire process: educating about the procedure, making sure you are okay/comfortable, and talking about casual life topics. Dr. Kasch feels like a caring grandfather. Dr. Kasch and his staff are the best! Dr. K is knowledgeable and incredibly caring. And, even though he's been practicing a long time, he seems excited about what he does, which is refreshing. On my last visit, he removed a cyst and actually took the time to show me afterwards what he did, what tool he used, etc. He sent me equipped with everything I needed to properly care for it, and then his staff called to follow up twice afterward! (And this was just for a minor cyst removal.) The whole staff truly cares. Alicia, who manages the front desk, is great at getting you in if something is urgent. Once, when a cancellation wasn't available, Dr. Kasch made time outside of regular hours to see me. Many practices are scheduled weeks or months out, which isn't helpful if you have something acute going on. I just can't say enough about the care I've received here. I went in for my first consultation/appointment on March 24th, 2020 for a few mole removals and it was great. Doctor and his staff were accommodating and treated us well, the whole office was clean without a single speck of hair, and the process was thoroughly explained and didn't take long at all. I came out with 6 flat moles and 1 slightly raised mole lasered off with a 2 oz. bottle of 100% aloe vera gel to keep the scarring minimum, paid up front. We planned to come back for a biopsy for my other two raised moles that couldn't be lasered off but due to the current pandemic, I had to cancel. I planned to reschedule my appointment because I want them gone before August but I've realized that my scars are darkening to the point where they just look as pigmented as they were before the mole removal and the slightly raised one is reappearing (was warned beforehand). I stayed out of the sun, kept my face clean, and applied the aloe after every wash but there hasn't been any improvement. I really loved visiting this office and was excited because of all the great reviews so I was willing to go for it, even with the steep cost, but I think I'll be saving up and getting my moles removed elsewhere. read more

It was my first time having any procedure on my face and he removed the mark beautifully, he assured me there would be minimal scarring and he was right. Bless his soul and what a rare find. Easily the best and most accommodating doctor I've been to. I barely felt the surgery for my mole removal, and his instructions were very clear for how to take care of it. Its been about a month, and its healing very well. I won't be posting a picture for privacy sake, but I would say that you definitely won't regret coming here. I was suffering from scabies and after visiting two other dermatologists and no clear answers, he went out of his way to get me in last minute because I was so miserable and frustrated. so I had this thing growing on my neck , and was getting concerned so I checked on yelp and found dr kasch. I got an appt easy enough by calling the office and they explained the whole thing about the insurance thing . not a problem , since I have a high deductible health plan anyway, and appreciated the fact that cost was explained to me before my visit. the cost is reasonable . the doctor is awesome! he's an experienced doctor, he's quick, and funny, and will explain and show things to you. turns out the thing on my neck was thankfully nothing serious but I chose to get it removed anyway . the surgery was short and painless and both the dr and assistant were very kind and caring . the follow up in the office is great . I got a few calls after my appt , they wanted to make sure I was doing ok , which I was. the office itself is a cool converted house. nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable . Parkin is easy , plenty of street parking in front. if you need a dermatologist , I am confident he will take good care of you also. read more

Dr. Kasch is the best! I was dealing with a skin issue on my face that progressively got worse over the course of a year and half. I kept trying home remedies and nothing helped. Googling of course gave me a fatal diagnosis. Finally I ended up going to Dr. Kasch after reading all the Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did. It was important to me to go to an MD. Dr. Kasch immediately knew what was going with me and gave me a prescription. I was sure I was going to have permanent scarring, since I had let it go on for so long, but nope my skin is clearing up and getting back to normal in just two months. Dr kasch is amazing! He helped me get rid of acne that I had since my teen years. He always listened to what I wanted and was always available 24/7 for me. I had already tried everything out in the market for acne, including antibiotics and expensive facials/microdermabrasions ect.. nothing worked. I did my research and when I came to Dr Kasch I told him I was tired of trying things that didn't work. I needed aggressive treatment and I got just that. We started accutane. I had a weird scalp/forehead issue since my son was born 11 years ago and have been searching for something that would help since. Been to doctors at UC Davis and Kaiser several times and been prescribed expensive lotions and shampoos that either did nothing or just kind of made it a little better but not enough. After a very pleasant visit (like your friendly grampa is spot on) he gave me some samples of something he thought might work which I appreciated after shelling out 60-100 on crap that was useless. I've had two visits with Dr. Kasch and I highly recommend him. He's extremely nice, very thorough and knowledgeable. I never got the feeling he was trying to rush off, he spent plenty of time diagnosing me and talking about my treatment. Fun topic? Not quite. But my experience was great here so I'll share. Came in for mole removal (smack dab on my face) with a little concern for scarring. Everyone in this office is friendly and the appointments were timely. Prepare to go back often because he does stitches and carefully clips them off slowly over time to make sure no scarring happens. I do have a light scar, but nothing anyone has every noticed. You'd never guess a Cindy Crawford-esque mole was removed from the area. Also, prepare to wear a bandaid on it for quite a long time, you don't want any sun hitting the area for a long time. read more
