Very good. I am told the fried chicken is the best and juicy. I can tell you the pork is fabulous and the splash of seasonings the provide for the avocado is a recipie I would live to have. Very nice people too! read more

Joha's Dominican Divines Chef has loved cooking snice she was a young girl. She learned how to cook from generations of Dominican cooking heritage with her mother being the biggest influence. Now she have brought her love into a food truck to one day reach her dream of owning a local restaurant to be able to further the experience of the Dominican food culture to her local community.

While they moved to a new location which I have not been to due to my previous experiences, I stand by my original review (was posted on Google a while back and just transferred it here recently) unless they changed their recipes! I'm sure many people may find this place good, but as someone born and raised in Puerto Rico, I can confirm this isn't (or wasn't if recipes changed) authentic.

Since I was one of few people, my dish came out rather quickly. The steak was tender and flavorful; the rice was seasoned perfectly and the maduros were fried to perfection. Everything was even better than I imagined. The server/bartender did a great job at keeping my water refilled and making sure I didn't needed anything. All these sweet confections were scrumptious! Staff were friendly, helpful, and customer service was great. I need to go back. They had cookie cakes, cakes, all kinds of amazing looking pastries, and several types of breakfast stollen that are begging to be eaten with a nice cuppa hot tea. I'll be back!

After reading other reviews for my first visit I tried the steak in red sauce which was delicious, I also tried the potato salad and a chicken empanadas. I was surprised that the food was not more spicy but no complaint as everything was very good, I am new to Dominican food but expect to be a regular at Joha's. Joha's could improve the experience if they would use a container that seals for the steak in red sauce so the sauce does not leak out. I will try something new in addition to the steak in red sauce on my next visit and expect the rice would compliment the steak and rice. Regards, Ron. read more

Delicious Dominican food, affordable, large plates, and very nice couple and service. I lived in the DR for 9+ years and my spouse was born and raised there; these empanadas are the best we have tasted! We will definitely be back and highly recommend giving this place a visit. Went today for lunch! Was overjoyed to have empanadas, and plantains. The food was hot, made to order and delicious. Customer service is above average and it's not a question whether or not I'll be back. The prices are great which makes it easy to enjoy a meal out in this economy. read more
