We had already stopped at several other jewelers and retailers, all of whom tried to sell us overpriced rings that weren't exactly what we said we were looking for. We came across this shop as we were about to turn around and head back to the car, and were pleasantly surprised! The proprietor (I didn't ask for his name, shame on me) was lovely and showed us many different and beautiful options, and we walked away after half an hour saying we had to think about it... only to return in fifteen minutes absolutely decided that we wanted them! The rings are fine and beautiful, the proprietor was wonderful, the shop was well stocked with gorgeous fine jewelry, and our rings were expertly fitted and resized within an hour and a half... amazing experience. It's located in an indoor shopping strip and is accessible from the street as well. The prices are fairly decent and you should be able to grab whatever you need, whether it's normal groceries or a snack for the road. The store is fairly clean and is kept stocked. It's quiet and offers a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the town. Bring your own bags as they don't have them. The self-checkout machines are easy to use but are a little slow when giving change.

On a whirlwind 2 week vacation to Ireland, the girlfriend & I tried to see & experience absolutely as much of this incredible land as we could. We did not accomplish every last activity we wished we could have on our rather ambitious itinerary. Nonetheless, we did discover a land of numerous stunning & magical wonders. We did see a land of unending natural beauty. We did learn of a land with a monumentally long history of trials, tragedies & triumphs. We did get to meet many kind, humorous, warm & generous people. Our vacation to Ireland was just 2 weeks, but that was time enough to know this is a land easy to love & a land to be sorely missed. Having eaten every single meal out at some restaurant since arriving in Ireland a few days earlier, the girlfriend & I needed a break from both the elevated calories & price tag of eating out constantly. Hidden inside the same shopping arcade as our new breakfast spot in Killarney was a Tesco. Simple groceries sounded like the relief we needed. We shopped at this Tesco a few times while we were in town & found both the selection of goods & prices to be good. This Tesco was very helpful in keeping our arteries from hardening too quickly & the slowing the frantic pace in which the €'s had been departing our wallets.

A week after that, I emailed them because no tracking number was received and I wanted to see where the package was. "Oh, it hasn't shipped yet. Give it another week." Ummmm....OK. I give it another week, and reach out again saying I still haven't gotten a tracking. 'Give it 48 to 72 hours.' OK..... 3 days later, I write again. 'Although our system shows it as shipped, it's not generating tracking numbers. Would you like us to ship the order again?' Kind of a weird resolution offered. You insist the first order shipped. So you're confident it's on it's way. But you're now offering to ship it again, so I'd get twice the merchandise for the same price? Companies just offer a refund or credit in these situations.... So I contacted my credit card company and they've reversed the charge. It's now over a month since I placed the order initially and nothing has arrived. It seems strange - like a scam. Equally, if you leave a bad comment about the company on their Facebook, you'll get inundated with other "customers," insisting it's a great company, great products, blah blah blah. Almost like they're paid to defend Aran. I've left plenty of bad reviews on other company's pages and never heard from anyone. Also a bit weird, all the reviews on their website are through TrustPilot, a known scam review website. And their Facebook page had no activity for almost 10 years, before coming back to life within the last few months.

We popped in after lunch and wandered up to the second floor, which houses all the men's wear. The selection of sweaters, beanies, hats, scarves, socks, jackets and more was impressive. So many colors and styles. The store is well maintained, bright, well organized, stocked and clean. We scooped up a beanie, as I find it hard to find one that fits just right, so I was pumped! Overall, solid shop if you are after anything wool while wandering around Killarney.

KILLARNEY OUTLET CENTRE Made my first visit to the Killarney…read moreOutlet Centre this week. Shops include Nike, Blarney Woollen Mills, Costa coffee, Paco, Jean Scene and so on. It is not that mighty big so the attraction is the discount that is on offer. The ground floor is fully populated with tenants but there is little take-up on the first floor. Shoppers were few enough this Thursday but I'm told it picks up at the weekend with extra stalls and activity. I wouldn't recommend making a trip just to visit this centre but it could profitably be included as part of a trip to Killarney itself and it has the added bonus of having the bus station alongside.
