KILLARNEY OUTLET CENTRE Made my first visit to the Killarney…read moreOutlet Centre this week. Shops include Nike, Blarney Woollen Mills, Costa coffee, Paco, Jean Scene and so on. It is not that mighty big so the attraction is the discount that is on offer. The ground floor is fully populated with tenants but there is little take-up on the first floor. Shoppers were few enough this Thursday but I'm told it picks up at the weekend with extra stalls and activity. I wouldn't recommend making a trip just to visit this centre but it could profitably be included as part of a trip to Killarney itself and it has the added bonus of having the bus station alongside.

Absolutely wonderful shop and working mill. I got there…read morejust before closing and the ladies there were very accommodating, even bringing me back into the mill for a tour (despite it being closed for the night). There was a huge selection of knit and woven goods, including some very soft blankets that were woven and felted on site. The sweater selection was less than some nearby outlets but quality was great. There was also a much more varied selection of yarn. The ladies were nice and chatty as we picked what we needed and checked out. When she learned that I wanted to attempt my first knit project with one of the hanks, she even found some needles to gift me! The store handled VAT and shipping, so it was very easy to buy things and send home without worrying about customs or duty free counters at the airport.

We have 30+ colors of Aran knitting wool in our shop. Tweeds ,blankets, throws , capes and scarves etc. are woven in the weaving shed. Our extensive range of woven and knitted products are available in our mill shop where customers are welcome and can witness the production process.
