After recently replacing my windows, I needed someone to help me put up siding and insulation/drywall where I had converted an old door to a window. My first few attempts at finding someone struck out completely -- either my project was too small for the companies that I contacted, or the contractors that I spoke with were unreliable and seemed disinterested. Enter Jeff Richmer. I got his info from a friend who had used him for work around his place and had been very happy. I contacted Jeff and he promptly got back to me with a time to meet and see my place and give me an estimate. On the appointed day and hour, he showed up on time, handed me a business card, asked thoughtful questions about what I wanted, and took measurements and pictures. I was already impressed, but just a few days later when he sent me an emailed invoice that was detailed of what he wanted to do and very reasonably priced, I knew he was the guy for the job. He communicated the timeline well as the project date approached, and when the time came, he was done on schedule. I couldn't be happier with the finished result. My new window area looks amazing -- you'd never know that a door was there unless I told you because the trim work, siding, and paint are all so seamless. Jeff is truly a gem among home improvement professionals, and I can't wait to find my next project for him to do!

Jeff was recommended to me by two different friends. I hired Jeff to paint all my trim and doors in…read moremy home white. They were stained wood. His contract said he needed $400 deposit which I paid. The contract stated that he would sand and prep all areas. Apply 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of white paint. I advised him a few weeks later that I decided to get new windows so he would not have to paint around the windows. I also advise him that we had painted the entire home and I was getting the hardwood flooring finished. He said that he would protect my floors and walls. After he worked at my home for a week. He left me with a huge mess. Paint on my new floors, paint on walls. When I emailed him about the issues he said well this changed and then that changed. The only things that changed was I got new windows and he didn't have to paint them. I had also asked him if he included painting the shelves in the closets and he said he didn't but he could do them and it probably wouldn't add that much more in cost. I told him that would be fine. He ended up telling me that the $400 covered his expenses and we would just call it even. When he came to look at the job he said he would probably take the doors to his home and paint them. He did except for the exterior doors. All of my exterior doors now stick because he didn't let them dry and paint is all over the weather stripping. The paint is coming off my doors. He didn't even paint the top of any of the door frames. There is several light and dark areas in the paint. Some areas look like primer and no paint. It is going to cost me more money to fix what this guy messed up. I think he should have returned the $400 and some extra for new weather stripping, doors, and clean up. Beware!! Jeff doesn't do what the contract states. See pictures below you can tell he didn't sand anything and left white paint on my floors and newly painted walls.

It had been a long time since our house was painted and knew it had to be done. Life has happened the past couple of years and that just compiled the need. My husband and I wanted a company that was local, and not a chain. My husband had called Triple D Painting and they came out for an estimate. They were super upfront about the work and cost, which was definitely fair and in our ballpark. They were easy to work with and kept us updated as to when they would be able to start painting. We didn't need it done immediately, but hoped for soon. They got us scheduled quicker than we thought. We received a call to confirm the night before - and what time they would be at our home - perfect! The crew was ontime and were very nice and polite. 3+ rooms and a pantry - ceilings and walls! They walked us back through the areas that they painted for inspection and touched up anything needed- I appreciate that. They did a fabulous job! After the inspection was done we were all talking about different topics and felt like we knew them forever. Polite, gracious, super nice and do quality work fast. They are the full package. She quoted me 2 days to complete exterior painting then over a week later she had showed up a few…read morehours a couple of days. Basically all she did over the course of this time was try to remove the peeling lead- based paint using a pressure washer and leaving lead- based paint chips all over my yard (a $30,000 EPA fine). However, she uses a fake address so they can't catch up with her. This person is a scam artist.
