Quality was terrible. Concrete work was not finished properly or sealed. Inconsiderate owner and staff!

Rocky Point Mechanical - Exhaust and fresh air intake for Rheem tankless water heater.

I was concerned about going with a contractor I hadn't met on my own. Not only was Dan pleasant to deal with, but he was able to meet me very quickly for a quote, give me the exact Rheem Tankless Water Heater I wanted in the timeframe I wanted, and out of the 4 quotes I had received, he was the lowest by a few hundred dollars. The morning of the Install, I met his brother, Joe, who was very respectful of my house, insisting on going the long way around to avoid going across my rug. At one point, I had expressed concern about the location of the water heater being so close to the HVAC, but in the end, it actually turned out saving a lot of space (see pics). Dan stopped by to check on the job and update me that two other members of his crew would be by to do the gas line and remove the old water heater. Mike led the gas line Install. He was very professional and explained the operation of the unit. The whole job was neat and Joe even reinforced the older piping and insulated it. I couldn't be happier with my new water heater. The only blip that I didn't expect was that I had to run my own power source to the water heater in order to avoid using an extension cord. This had been included in the other quotes I had received, but they were also much more expensive, so I really can't complain. After the job was completed, weeks later, Dan helped me qualify for a National Grid rebate when they were giving me trouble submitting it. I would use Rocky Point Mechanical again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend them!!!

Don't use them. They are the plumbers that never leave. Half way through my job they hit me up for…read moreanother $13,000 because Dan said he miscalculated. I had to pay it because we were too far along to get someone to pick up the job after them. Then the partner's split up and Dan hired his brother who's on disability from the police department. Every faucet that he installed had to be tightened. He was unable to install toilets because he was unfamiliar with new toilets and how they are connected. Dan often needed to recheck his work. They didn't always show when they say they will and then I caught them lying to the reason why they were a no show while we waited for them. It's a business that is over stressed and over worked. There are far better reputable plumbers out there.

For this company there should be a zero star option!!!…read more DO NOT EVEN THINK OF USING THEM National Chimney & Masonry was contracted to clean my chimney. While cleaning they told my wife that the chimney was seriously deteriorated and recommended a stainless steel liner. Big surprise they had it on the truck and scared her into the installation that day - $1,100. It was bad enough to get taken on the install but they did not even do it correctly and created a deadly situation in my home. I returned home a week later to find our home filled with smoke and soot. I called my oil company who told me that the insert was incorrectly installed and National had sealed the pipe with an excessive amount of cement, which fell into the chimney opening and completely sealed it off. I called a REPUTABLE Chimney service to inspect and here is what they found: A 5 inch insert was placed into a 7 inch chimney opening which was not only against code, but was not large enough to support the existing oil burning furnace and gas hot water heater. This caused a backup of smoke and soot which clogged the furnace and the insert. The installer ran the hot water heater smoke pipe directly into the wall, instead of using the proper connection outside of the wall, which is against code. When the hot water heater was installed in the wall, the installer cut into the stainless steel insert, instead of using a T connection, invalidating the lifetime warranty on the insert. Two new chimney caps were installed, one of which was the incorrect size for the chimney opening. The two caps that were fine were taken away Inspection of the top of the chimney showed that furnace cement was used to seal the new insert in place. Cardboard was packed around the insert pipe to keep it in place while the cement dried, which is not only against code, but caused an extremely dangerous fire hazard in the chimney. Inspection of the top eight feet of the chimney showed only normal wear and tear, a condition in which an insert is not recommended by a reputable chimney cleaning company. Repeated calls to the company and messages left have been ignored and owner Tom Casey told me to take him to court. I took him to small claims court and the judge decided it was a clear case of consumer fraud and awarded triple the judgment. Of course I have not been able to collect from this crook National Chimney Tom Casey, owner
