I scheduled a haircut with Xavier, got there 15 mins early, but luckily he was free and sat me right away. Super cool guy and got me fresh before I head out to a wedding! I have straight asian hair with a tough cowlick - it's made it difficult to find a barber for the job. Andres gave me a great consultation and helped me pick the best length for my round face. Needless to say I cannot recommend him more and will be coming back during my next trip.

Didn't find Gino, but... da Cut: Jaden sat me down 10 min. early asked a few questions and got to work. I could tell just by the way he was lining things up with a wet comb that I was gonna be good. He took his time, paused at certain points to have me check his work. Meticulous and precise he started up top w/ scissor work, combing, measuring snipping; really taking his time. Moving to the clippers, he was just as careful and line things up nice, taking 10 years off my old head! da Service: building has very little street parking, but does have a robot parking structure, supported by Valet; w/ validation, only $4!! No way you get that in Oakland. Penthouse HNL is on the 3rd floor, smooth check-in, already paid when booked online, super easy. I was a little scared, it was all young "kids" working; I'm not quite looking to be K-pop star. But Jaden had the sensibility to gauge what I was looking for and still bring me up to date a bit. Will look for this spot on the next visit... and much mahalos to Jaden for helping me "keep the old man out"

I'm not picky with hair (maybe particular) and if gave me anxiety knowing that someone I didn't know was going to attempt to "know what I want". Booked online for a haircut and 30 mins shoulder massage. From literally opening the door I was greeted by Sayuri. Didn't even ask my name but took me back and introduced me to Eikoh. We walked through how I typically get my haircut and we were set. Haircut is great, it's been a week and not regretting the price. The 30 minute head, neck, shoulder massage was unreal. So relaxing and I didn't want to get up. Eikoh is an amazing stylist and you can see his passion come through.

He does very nice work and is very friendly. My son is half white and Asian, but pulls his hair from the Asian side, so it's on the thicker side and full, which requires a more precision cut. He also has a prominent double cowlick, which can be challenging to work around. My son's cut always looks on point, and although he doesn't easily express excitement, I know he is pleased because when it comes to his hair he has hair standards. Upon leaving, his stylist mentioned there would be price hike, which I appreciated the heads up. Thank you for the great work!

I have never been disappointed, and I am so glad I found Matthew and Mojo. Matthew's process is of the highest quality and is very consistent. Each haircut begins with a confirmation of my desired hairstyle. If I have any questions about barber terminology or potential changes, Matthew always explains things clearly and concisely. He is extremely professional while also being super down to earth. His haircuts are incredibly relaxing. So much so that I often find myself falling asleep in his chair. At the end of each haircut, he provides a handheld mirror to review the haircut and also offers product to style in case I am heading out somewhere after. I cannot recommend Matthew enough! And make sure you drop him a nice tip. :)
