More than any other doctor I've met in my life, Dr. Rosenfeld breaks very complicated things down into plain English and is very open to input from us as parents. I really feel like he's been a partner in our son's care, not the BOSS, in the best possible way. When we decided not to list our son for a heart transplant, he made it clear he totally respected our decision and jumped right in with other medical treatment options. Even when things looked really grim, he remained optimistic, without negating how hard things were. He's helped us feel empowered and is very flexible in terms of trying things we want to try and explaining why he thinks different options might be useful or not useful. He has a great sense of humor, relaxed and kind bedside manner and is very approachable. We love Dr. Hunkypants, as we call him in our house :-)

We learn of our daughter's heart condition prior to her birth which gave us the opportunity to meet multiple doctors and educate ourselves around her condition. After meeting Dr. Rosenfeld, we knew he was our doctor. In addition to giving our daughter the best cardiac care possible, Dr. Rosenfeld patiently educates us on very complex cardiac issues and makes them understandable. He has had to explain the same thing to us a number of times, but never rushes or gets frustrated with us. (Or if he does get frustrated, he doesn't show it!) He cares for our daughter with unmatched compassion and love. His bedside manner is wonderful. He makes all of us feel at peace. Every time something would go "wrong" we would feel so much better within 10 minutes of talking to Dr. Rosenfeld because he always had it under control and had a plan. He is always reachable and available to address any concern - big or small. What better recommendation that to say we trust him with our daughter's fragile life. And it is true - we trust him completely. We feel very blessed to be in the Bay Area which affords us access to some of the best doctors in the world. Dr. Rosenfeld is absolutely a blessing in our lives.

She makes her patients feel at ease, is very knowledgeable, and gives balanced and measured advice. She also goes above and beyond for her patients...I was in a pickle at this year because I found out my ob/gyn practice didn't accept doulas (they hadn't informed me, and I was 3 weeks away from delivering). Unfortunately most of the other practices were already booked and not accepting new patients. Dr Dijkstra empathized with my predicament, made a few calls and found me a solution. I was relieved and grateful to both her and her staff.

I saw her recently for cardiac symptoms that I was experiencing (as a young and athletic female, I'm not exactly your typical patient who has heart troubles). Dr. Tagliaferri listened to my concerns, asked key questions, and then thoughtfully explained potential diagnoses...it was easy to speak to her and I could clearly understand what she was thinking. I really appreciated that she did not dismiss my concerns because I am an atypical patient; she was very thorough. I am so, so glad I went to see her because I was referred (very quickly due to Dr. Tagliaferri's perseverance - she got my appointment moved up by a week and a half!) to a top-notch cardiologist who is very concerned about ruling out a serious issue. She even told me questions that I should ask the cardiologist! Dr. Tagliaferri really took the time to listen, investigate and understand what I was experiencing and I am truly grateful for her knowledge, compassion, and attentiveness. It makes me feel so much better to know I can put my health in such good hands.

And I am…read moreabsolutely fine with a doctor taking a very clinical approach, but she is way beyond that. She doesn't have a conversation with you, she lectures you. I tried to interject with some relevant information, and she basically told me to shut up and ask questions later. She fat shamed me repeatedly. When I asked how I should monitor my condition going forward, she was dismissive and said "it doesn't matter." Well, when it feels like my heart is doing jumping jacks inside my chest for hours at a time, it certainly matters to me. She is utterly devoid of empathy. She should not be in a patient facing position. I hope that Kaiser finds a more constructive role for her, but until then steer clear.

Take a pass on this doctor…read more I saw Dr. Sandhu a few times over the years and she couldn't manage to give me a diagnosis for quite some time. Even when she did make a diagnosis, she tucked it away in her clinical notes and didn't even tell me what is was. When I questioned her after reviewing my record, she got all paranoid that I was able to get a hold of her notes in the first the place. How she didn't understand that patients have a right to see their records when they're requested is beyond me. I wish I could say the rest of my experiences with her were 'beyond me,' but they're not. Kaiser is a sleazy insurance company, if you think the ethics of their employees is any better, you're wrong. They lie to patients when it's convenient for them - like when they want to suppress the fact they have insufficient staff to manage some conditions, in the case of medical negligence, and, of course, to save $. Further, the notion of having your doctors work together, something Kaiser promotes as beneficial, quickly becomes the patient's worst nightmare when things go wrong because they all work together to protect each other, not you the innocent patient who blindly trusted your doctors had your best interest in mind. Sandhu repressed information because I have a condition I'd been specifically asking about for years but none of my doctors would bother evaluating for it, including herself years earlier. In her notes, she tried to make it seem like it was something 'new,' so unscrupulous. It's a condition Kaiser doesn't have doctors in network having any expertise in. They resist making the diagnosis so they're not on the hook for sending you out of network and can avoid dealing with it at all. I've got in touch with many other Kaiser patients online with the same condition and repeatedly hear the same pathetic story. Dr. Sandhu has some dangerous prescribing practices and doesn't take it to heart when told of severe side effects, the worst of which she suppressed from her notes. When I told her how bad the drug prescribed for this condition was making me feel, that it was causing worse chest pain and flushing, a sensation of suffocating and that I was so fatigued I could hardly manage to make my son's school lunch or work, she said, "Maybe you can find something else to do online." She refused to provide an alternative for a drug that turned out to not only be contraindicated due to other conditions but it was also severely incompatible with other meds I was on -- severe as in presenting a 'high likelihood' of fatal interactions that were never disclosed to me. And how insane is it to later learn there were many formulary alternatives available all along. It's also extraordinary that the culprit behind the condition I saw Sandhu for was not timely diagnosed either - isn't diabetes kind of like medicine 101? Any cardiologist that doesn't understand the connection between diabetes and autonomic neuropathy could have only got their medical license from a box of Fruit Loops. I had lab results diagnostic of diabetes in 2014 that Sandhu could instantly access and a long history of classic diabetes symptoms, too. My diabetes wasn't diagnosed or treated until 2016, and only incidentally in ER! Wonder how Kaiser wins recognition and awards? They keep patients off the books. I'm a perfect example and the DMHC confirmed that, clearly, I was not counted when they won Right Care Initiative awards, which are given for reduced rates of diabetes and its complications. They never even added diabetes to my current problem list, so even after I left Kaiser, no one would even know I had diabetes unless they culled clinic notes. Isn't that nice? Kaiser is NOT health care -- it's SICK care. Perhaps most heinous of all is that considering the many professional and legal liabilities for some of my doctors, and the health plain itself, that the dangerous drug prescribing and letting something as important as diabetes go unchecked for so long, while I developed significant cardiac symptoms, was no mistake. I mean really --- Dr. Sandhu and others participating didn't actually get their md license from box of cereal, they're smart people. They knew what they were doing was endangering me and they didn't care. Better a dead patient than a live one who can sue. I hope Dr. Sandhu experiences what I did and when she does that someone suggests she too can find something else to do online, instead of practicing medicine. The world would be a safer place if she followed that advice.

I call bullshiviki on that especially when it takes an unreasonable amount of time book an appointment. Dr. Baidu has set a standard that his staff can't meet. While I appreciate efficiency, I think flexibility is a missing element and then his staff has to take the brunt of dissatisfied patients. Dr. Baidu needs to learn leadership and management versus dictating standards that are unreasonable and have a significant negative impact. I am accountable for being 7 minutes late. I find that a 10 minute window is reasonable. 2 minutes is misguided. I personally think that this physician is a disappointing model. If a patient must endure a 2 plus month delay in getting an appointment, surely the Practice can communicate the precious nature of his minutes and seconds. FYI, restaurants give a standard +/- 10-15 minute window. A banner should go on the website that highlights the 2 minute demand. Very disappointed in Marin Health, who on average takes a delay from appointment time of more than 15 minutes to actually be be seen by a Provider. Marin Health is under resources to begin with (most Providers are not taking new Patients). I'd say Marin Health Executives need to pay attention to their business.

I drove 45 minutes to arrive at my appointment on time that I understood was scheduled for 3:45 PM…read more When I walked in the office they notified me I was five minutes late, (yes just five minutes) and they told me I had to reschedule. Never in my 60+ years has a doctors office told me to go away, as you know, usually you wait. I'm in extreme pain and sitting in the parking lot as I write this. They operate in 20 minute increments so why couldn't the doctor have given me a 15 minute visit, it was only a verbal face to face anyway with hopefully a pain prescription. Why are they jamming people so closely together? To maximize every dollar out of patients and this zero tolerance for five minutes late is like some Catholic boarding school rule out of the 1800s. Very very unreasonable when it takes weeks or longer to get an appointment and you're in pain. If you're looking for empathy this place isn't it, you're a number on a chart! I've seen the doctor in the past, I'm expressing no opinion on him personally but this new policy stinks and no notice was given we must arrive early or we're punished like children. As I discussed this with the embarrassed employee in reception a woman in the waiting room chimed in and said "you should see how bad their reviews are" as she looked up from her phone with a distressed expression (no kidding). I'll look elsewhere for an office that isn't treating us like sheep. Oh, and I recall last time I saw Dr Naidu I had to wait about 15 minutes but I guess that's okay. Forget the value of my time as a business owner and a schedule of my own. I'm not rescheduling I'll move on to a kinder and more competent office and skip the conveyer belt.
