My experience at Chiro One in Bolingbrook with Dr. Daphne & her staff, Carrie and Cheryl, has been…read morepositive & beneficial on many levels. More on them in a minute... Athletics have always been a part of my life which also transcended into my career as a law enforcement officer where the physicality required to perform my duties required a higher level of fitness, especially as a female. In order to maintain that level of fitness, I sought other tools to help manage my well-being, to include yoga, massage & chiropractic care. I started with the standard chiropractic care that Chiro One offers to address neck curvature & persistent muscle tension in my lower back & neck that would not go away with standard yoga practice or deep tissue/athletic type massages. After completing those initial chiropractic regiments, I chose to continue with maintenance care, (1X/week), for specific reasons; my neck curvature & posture improved & continue to improve, & the muscle tension in my lower back & neck completely subsided. Having said that, on several occasions, between intense physical workouts and/or work related incidents, I have had, what I thought might be "injuries" that would require medical attention from my primary care physician (MD). These instances included a severely irritated sciatica nerve, dislocated (subluxate) ribs, lockjaw, a moderate ankle twist, and other muscle seizures where I thought I had possibly torn something. After appropriate assessments & consultations with Dr. Daphne, she was able to alleviate each of these ailments with chiropractic care. Let me be CLEAR, in no way, shape, form or fashion, did Dr. Daphne advocate for chiropractic care over medical care as a course of action for treatment. In fact, she was very clear about staying in her lane and would be the first to tell me that I would be better served by my primary care physician. I also know me and that I am the best advocate for my body. While I am open to seeking options to manage my health care, I also have no problem paying a visit to my primary care physician when needed. Dr. Daphne has always been professional, kind and attentive to me as her patient. In addition to standard chiropractic adjustments, she also tailors many of my adjustments to my needs because she listens and asks questions about the information I relate to her. To Dr. Daphne's staff, Carrie and Cheryl; both of them are also professional, kind and attentive to their patients. Based on my own experience and personal observations, they get to know everyone on a personal level and make them feel welcome in their facility to include the small children that accompany their parents to appointments. While Chiro One is a chain company that may or may not completely operate in a way that agrees on every level with every potential patient, to include me, I wanted to make sure that I wrote a review specifically for Dr. Daphne and her staff. They represent themselves and Chiro One well and for the betterment of their patients. Respectfully, Tina

I was disappointed from the first moment I was at this establishment. (l find it impossible to call…read morethis a medical facility.) I was initially greeted by a staff member, but she abruptly leapt away to assist someone with a piece of equipment. I can only guess she saw that someone was about to hurt herself or do something dangerous. At other chiropractic facilities I've been to, a staff member is dedicated to assisting patients and always watching to ensure no one hurts themselves. At this facility the staff person is apparently expected to juggles duties and check-in members (notice I didn't say patients), monitor the rotation of members rapidly getting adjustments, give tours of the facility, AND ensure safety. Does not seem very safe. Let me get back to the rotation of members receiving adjustments. It's all done out in the open, which is not unusual for a chiropractic office. But I make the point so that you know that I could clearly see what was going on. During the 25 minutes I waited for my appointment to begin, I saw the Doctor give adjustments to NINE people. NINE!!! That is less than three minutes of care given per person! And remember, the staff member who is supposed to make sure that no one hurts themselves on the equipment is also the one keeping the people ready to get in line for the doctor, so every 2 1/2 minutes she's making sure that the next member is in line and waiting so that the doctor can simply turn around and give an adjustment to the next person. Additionally, the facility looked and sounded like a cheap gym. There was no hint of anyone there being a medical professional. The music was jarring. Everything about the place seemed cheap and unsafe.

ProMED Rehabilitation ignored my right as a patient and made no exceptions to a supposed policy…read moreespecially when I was under extreme pain and not to mention COVID-19 is still a concern. My pain is caused by 3 herniated discs and it's extremely difficult to drive a total of 3+ hours to make the appointment from Woodstock to Bolingbrook so we requested a remote/online cancellation which was denied. In order to cancel my treatment plan and receive a refund for the remaining appointments, ProMED required me to be physically present for an exit evaluation and made no exceptions for my situation. We tried to communicate our concerns at the lowest level and asked to escalate my issue to Dr. P but they quite literally ignored our request by referring to policy. My oldest son, trying to resolve the situation by providing insight, called 3 days in advance but was met with unsatisfactory customer service by the Office Manager, Kelly. Kelly refused to honor my son's request to speak with Dr. P and when he stayed persistent by calling once a day, he was accused of harassment. Even though they do not have a written policy, they kept insisting for me to be there to get a refund which I paid in cash $3342.97 which also included $102.97 in supplements. I had received 7 treatments out of 36 and I decided to cancel the treatment since driving for 3+ hours increased the pain rather than helping it. I felt more like a number to them and not a person. I've noticed that they recommend 36 treatments for everyone and mislead you by stating that they are not a chiropractic service even though Dr. P is a chiropractor. Also, they do not have enough assistants and that even a receptionist had to get involved in the treatment process. Days after leaving ProMED and being forced to drive to cancel my treatment, I have even more agonizing pain. The cancelling Promed treatment program is ridiculously harder than switching doctors. Note: Even though I showed up for my appointment, I still have not received my refund.
