She explained each step and broke down to a level of detail so that I could make my pieces practically independently. She did jump in to help when I needed. The first session consisted of kneading the clay and then throwing it and creating our two pieces. Visit 2 was the glazing. And finally visit 3 was pickup! I'm shocked that we were able to create our pieces, and bonus - they're dishwasher-safe! If you're throwing around the idea of doing a class like this, I definitely recommend Tracey!

Artists Uncorkd communicated to me that I would receive a proof a couple days before the event. Great, all set! Then, something came up and I wasn't able to attend the event. I emailed to ask if I could get a refund and got NO RESONSE, I emailed again and got NO RESPONSE. The easiest thing to do is email someone back. So I wasted the $45 I paid and never got the refund. Even if they emailed back to say they can't refund the money, I would be fine with that, but NO RESPONSE seems intentional. UPDATE: Immediately after writing this review I suddenly got an email saying "you've been refunded, it takes a few days", no apology or explanataion. Wonderful! Would have loved that communication a week ago.

I love AR Workshop. I've done multiple workshops for wood, canvas and blanket projects. I am a…read morecrafty person and I love the level of involvement we get to use, like building frames on the pictures and sanding and staining. I really love their options for projects and no matter who I take with me, even the most reluctant and unskilled crafter, the projects come out really polished and good looking. Staff is there to help when you need it or if you are good on your own, you can really just tune in and work and make some cool art. Great for making holiday gifts and a great spot for a ladies night out.

This school is not designed for anyone suffering from social anxiety, anxiety in general or depression. They relied on entirely too many group projects with no system to balance it out. Everyone stacks up and the introverted kids get left out. They attempted accommodations but they were not an acceptable substitute for the issue. The second biggest issue is I attended for one day and somehow owe about 80% of the tuition back. Allegedly one class is worth thousands of dollars and you get stuck with it.

I "ordered" the block printing project, and my friend "ordered" the embroidery project. I think you can also do collage and stamping projects. The projects range from $20-35 and are varying lengths of time to complete. I was a total newbie to block printing - the total of my instruction had been a 6 minute video tutorial. The owner made me feel very comfortable and gave clear instructions, but was generally hands off for me to figure things out through experimentation. You can't bring food to your project, but I believe you are allowed to bring in n/a drinks while you art. It was such a fun, relaxing way to start the weekend. I'll definitely be back.
