Got some ribs, pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, corn and potato salad. The food was delicious. HOWEVER... the ribs are killer!!! So juicy and FULL OF MEAT! UNBELIEVABLE! "Five bucks for one taco?" WTF?…read more There is only one thing you need to know about Texasada: the fish taco. Start with the tortilla. Masa goodness. The best corn tortilla in San Antonio. This isn't your standard thin tortilla (and i love a thin house made corn tortilla); it is a very robust tortilla. It stands up to the fish taco eating experience from start to finish. And it is one tasty orb. Drop in a couple pieces of perfectly fried tilapia, some perfectly dressed slaw and a flash of spicy mayo sauce and you have a fish taco worthy of the five dollar price tag. Close your eyes and imagine that every fish taco you've ever eaten in SoCal was this tasty. Find this truck. Experience fish taco perfection. really f n good.

Their atole (it's a mexican warm drink that's a little thick), if you haven't had it- it's 100% worth a weekend trip alone (I think it's a weekend only spot. I've driven by during the week and didn't see them). but leaving without getting some tacos and their secret red sauce is now a sin in my book! I'm super nosy and peeped inside the truck. I've worked in kitchens before so I'm a bit judgey and these people know the song and dance to this. Not to mention how clean they are. Can't wait for them to know my order and my name. whoop whoop! Oooh, I almost forgot. Bring cash, lots of it as they're cash only.

Not sure on weekday hours but they are open on Saturday and Sunday after 6pm I believe. Try it, you'll love it

If you also love hot you have to try the ghost pepper sauce. Everything is made by Carlos and you can tell he loves what he does. Carlos is super sweet, kind, and friendly. But when there are mom and pop bakeries and fruterias that can blow me out of the water for $5, this doesn't seem worth it. I had the strawberries and crème. Been eyeballing this tiny shack for a couple of weeks and decided to try it tonight…read more Damn. For a little place, their shit is pretty good! We had the carne asada mini taquitos and 2 tacos norteños, chicken and asada. The mini taquitos got great reviews by the girlfriend. They came with standard onions and cilantro. On the tacos norteño, i thought the chicken lacked flavor but the asada was outstanding. What makes these tacos are their homemade. Yes. Let me say it again. Homemade flour tortillas. I normally don't eat flour tortillas and just eat the filling but these suckers were cooked to perfection: a nice crunch on the outside while preserving the softness inside. Think of it this way. Like good barbecue does not need barbecue sauce, taco fillings should stand on its own without the help of salsa. The tortilla is just the vessel to get these tasty bites into your gut. However, the tortilla at this place, really elevated the tacos-went from not liking the chicken to scarfing that lil fucker down. And the asada, well, that lil mofo never had a chance-gone in 60 seconds. Lesson of the story boys and girls, don't judge a food truck by it's spinners.

FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more Woohoo! Been looking for chili cheese fries and happened upon a review for this place boasting fries with a homemade chili so we HAD TO stop in tonight. THE LOCATION: on the very end of a string of businesses in a strip mall that I've never been in before, so that was cool. Lots of parking, that'll never be an issue. And right off the 410. THE MENU: Burgers, dogs, Mexi-style munchies and a variety of frozen dessert-type items like shakes, frozen fruit concoctions and Italian ice. THE STAFF: I wasn't overwhelmed with a warm welcome and smiles, at least from the guys. Lol! They should really work on that. There was a sweet gal who ran out our food orders and she was great. THE FOOD: I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich deluxe with tots and a sweet tea. The grilled chicken was juicy and cooked well and the bun was lovely, slightly sweet and toasted. Overall, the sandwich could've used more flavor, like a creamy bbq spread and cheddar instead of the "Swiss" cheese that tasted more like American cheese. But overall, 7/10. The tots were extra crispy and the guy who took my order didn't take heed to my request for ranch. I was too lazy to get up again so I settled for ketchup. The sweet tea was nicely sweet and fresh, I'll be sipping this in my dreams. The hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries and an Oreo cookie shake. The burger looked good and he ate it quick, so there's that. This guy can EAT so it surprised us both when he slowed down fast after eating that burger. Lol! He kept saying how filling it was, but then he also killed a large shake before the food arrived, so there's that. He ate most of his chili cheese fries, leaving me a few bites to sample. Not bad. I order a Coco Haven frozen dessert to go and omg is this thing delightful! Vanilla ice cream and coconut Italian ice (?) with a blue snow cone-like syrup drizzled throughout. I loved the texture of what I believed to be Italian ice. Smooth and flaky, a perfect icy dessert. OVERALL: decent eatery, the hubby said we can go back (LOL!) Shockerrrrr! But I recommend the staff tries harder to make customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The next visit will be telling.
