I was here on a Friday afternoon choosing fabric for a quilt. The selection was vast and I did like the organization and stock (not different than other JoAnn stores). The thing is, there isn't much competition for sewing materials. Crafts? Yes, you can choose other places, but not many for fabric especially in the Plover area). I took my tag for my turn in line at the cutting table. I'm not sure why as the employees didn't bother to reinforce this, just continued to ask who was next. We needed an odd size for a large quilt my mom is making and it took the employees a lot of math work to figure out how to do it. Paper, calculators and three people. While the associate assisted me with calculating and cutting the other associate decided to bad mouth a customer while we were there. I wasn't entirely sure if it was me or a woman that had just left. She was incredibly rude and condescending, including instructing my mom how to "fix" her sewing machine so it works better.
We picked up a few items to try to use the coupon she wanted to use, but they can only be used on full-price items. Not worth the 90 miles she travelled. In addition there was no one at the register. No one near it. I collected one of the employees from the cutting station so the patiently waiting customers could leave the store.
Maybe it was just the day. Or the staff, but when this is your business I would really hope you'd care to serve your employees. I have no desire to return to that location. The stores are plentiful. I can get the same selection without listening to someone badmouthing in front of other customers.
