They have an in-house long arm quilter and a machine that you can rent too. The retreat room upstairs is fab--bright and airy and they have trunk shows of amazing quilts. All in one place. It is fab. The employee or owner or whoever she was, was no where to be seen. As we made our way down the store, we finally saw the lady but however, she said not one word to us. Not a greeting or assistance. So we finally asked a question about lace and she said "this is not that kind of store. It's a quilting store." Um yeah, we were highly aware and obvious it's a "quilting store," we just asked a question. The vibe from the employee was so off. So we definitely will another fabric store. Lots and lots of samples....classes......a large section of notions,books,magazines,and patterns. There specialty is more on the modern side,which I loved cause sometimes you fell like your walking in the same old quilt stores. But not this shop it had some really unique quilts. I prefer more modern and trendy patterns and like most quilt shops this one caters to an older demographic with more traditional taste. I did find some very cute fabric but it took some searching. The shop is a bit cluttered and I feel the location at Rainbow Gardens is bizarre! The price for a fat quarter is $3 so I'd say that is comparable to most quilt shops that carry quality fabric. For the fabric selection I'd give this shop a "3." The service is absolutely a "5." The owner was very attentive and helpful. She was giving a lot of help to other patrons but kept coming back to me. I brought my children to the shop with me and the owner gave them candy and she has a little table set up for kids. This was really a bonus because I have no choice but to take my children everywhere with me and I appreciate businesses who understand this and accommodate me. Overall, I would say that there isn't a large selection of fabric that suits my particular taste but they do have a lot of fabric to choose from. I will go back because they do have some good prints and the service is really great.
